Heartwarming Moment: Young Beaver Navigates Snow Barrier to Find Parent

In this footage, wildlife photographer Michael Digout captures a young beaver facing a challenge as it searches for its parent while attempting to swim to the riverbank, hindered by a snowdrift obstructing its path. On April 5, 2020, Digout recorded an adult beaver feeding at the river’s edge while a large piece of ice floated by, creating a significant snow barrier. This obstacle complicated the journey for the younger beaver swimming upstream in search of its mother. After several minutes of effort, the young animal successfully reaches the riverbank and reunites with its parent.
