00:00District Teachers AFC, elected into the Football League in 18-19-91.
00:07They get ready, who scored just one goal in ten previous games against Arsett in Dutch Football.
00:13It's a European debut for Roots in goal.
00:15The other ten players have all played in UEFA matches on the left-hand side of the attack.
00:19He scored five goals already this season, started all seven of their games.
00:23Last season, what a couple of goals in their conference run.
00:30He's trying to draw Arsett forward, or it's a mistake.
00:34Giving away Smit, he's found Dahl, draws the goalkeeper, who's got something on it.
00:39And a massive early chance for Arsett Altma.
00:43Big chance this.
00:46Giving away cheaply, Smit found Dahl, from that position he has to score.
00:51Just delayed the shot.
00:56High, beyond the far post.
00:58This is a good routine, and headed over.
01:02Mierdink.
01:03They're not rolling around.
01:05Not needing treatment, because they know if they get any treatment, they have to go off.
01:09Here's an opportunity now for Sunderland.
01:10Right in behind the back goalkeeper.
01:11Sunderland has to save.
01:13Very spectacular as well.
01:14Back across the goal, Le Fay, busy for Sunderland up front.
01:21Keeper has to make the save.
01:25Angela Fay with the running behind.
01:28Spectacular from the keeper.
01:30A little bit needless perhaps.
01:31And Traune with the little flip wide in the end.
01:37And if the keeper had to make a save like that, I would suggest he was off balance.
01:42Closest side of the end have come.
01:45Doesn't look greatly convincing to me.
01:47That came straight out to Fofana.
01:54Dramatic goalkeeping, but I'm not sure it was necessary.
01:58Here's Danso from range.
02:03Made the save look good, Yair De Busa.
02:09Free to hit it from there.
02:10Oh, it's bending wickedly.
02:11That is a good save.
02:13That's a fine piece of goalkeeping.
02:16Had to readjust very quickly because the ball was swerving and there was a lot of dips.
02:20See the way he hits it.
02:23Won three titles in the 1890s.
02:26They really were one of the best in the land at that stage.
02:32That's a nice touch around the corner.
02:35And swept goalwards.
02:39Desperately unlucky.
02:40A couple of really good positions.
02:46Isidore did really well.
02:49Bending but a little bit late.
02:50Keeper saves that one easy.
02:53From Granit Xhaka.
02:55And they lost their way too.
02:56And came off the bench there and played against Hull in the Carabao Cup, the English League Cup.
03:02And of course, a little bit more time to prepare having gone to the World Cup.
03:08It's a door.
03:11Appreciated that, the crowd.
03:13Balit Xhaka drives it now.
03:15Looking to the run of Mukherjee.
03:16Le Fay there wearing 28.
03:19A little bit of disguise on the ball.
03:21And it's not that far away from Trehu.
03:26There's a fair amount of bumping, barging and holding in there.
03:30Le Fay whips it near post.
03:31A little flick on.
03:32Headed away by Colt Minas.
03:35Who was well positioned.
03:37Wide by Reiniel Doerr.
03:42What's the dangerous ball in?
03:44Can a shamboyant punch away!
03:46He was nearly turned in as the ball came back in the Danso at the far post.
03:50Driven back in by Xhaka.
03:58Very theatrical, the dive and punch.
04:01Xhaka hammered it.
04:04I think had Danso touched it and gone in, he would have been offside.
04:07The goalkeeper had gone beyond him.
04:15Round the corner.
04:16To Le Fay.
04:17Hume is out wide.
04:19Le Fay goes for it!
04:27And it'll be...
04:29Oh, I've said.
04:30Altma kicking us off and underway in the second half.
04:34Kicking from right to left.
04:39Schmitz.
04:40Immediately closed.
04:42Manning back to him though.
04:43Oh, lovely turn and...
04:44Oh, I thought it was in.
04:45Just steered it wide.
04:48Seem to veer away from goal very, very late after a really smashing turn.
04:53But a fine young player, K-Smith.
04:55Tight area.
04:56Played back to him.
04:57There's a little swivel to open up the space.
05:02Just wide.
05:04Lovely piece of skill from the 20-year-old.
05:12Time to watch out for in the future.
05:15Time to watch out for in the future.
05:24Five minutes gone in the second half.
05:25The Dutch side, the better side in the second half.
05:32It's over the top here.
05:33It's a door.
05:42Went for straight instead of placing.
05:45Winning goal against Fulham on this ground earlier in the season.
05:49Shankar.
05:50Oh, we've got a chance to push it through.
05:52Looking for Isidore.
05:53Breaks back.
05:54The shot is blocked.
05:56By Hume.
05:56Comes back out then towards Mukiel.
05:58And here's his deflected wide.
06:02Real thread on the counter for Sunderland.
06:05The fan to the penalty is still going.
06:09Referee having a look.
06:10Did he stub his foot on the toe?
06:11Referee says penalty, Sunderland.
06:16It was a strong run forward.
06:25Scored at Brentford this season from the spot.
06:29Lefebvre.
06:30Sunderland league.
06:34Their first goal in European competition.
06:42Alcet heading for a 12th defeat in 12 on English soil.
06:46Rosser Lefarpo's heading down.
06:48Pugliel got up high.
06:49He's a big man at six foot.
06:52Dahl.
06:57Chavez.
06:59Just about cleared.
07:00And it comes back there to the substitute.
07:03Who's shot is blocked again.
07:04That's safe for Merdink.
07:06Now it's Chavez.
07:07No way through.
07:08Rig for Sunderland.
07:09Can't give it away in there.
07:11Looks for Brobby up front.
07:12He slipped his man.
07:14Is this the moment they seal it?
07:15The phase in the middle.
07:16Brian Brobby.
07:17Can he get the goal against Altmar?
07:19Brobby.
07:20Across the goal.
07:21It's out.
07:22Angelo.
07:23Off the line.
07:23Brobby must score.
07:24Doesn't score.
07:26Brilliant block by Chavez.
07:28And his wrong run against Artin Altmar.
07:31And his career continues.
07:32And Sunderland should have sealed it there.
07:36They can't quite believe it.
07:38How it's laid out.
07:41Onside.
07:42The phase in the middle.
07:44Defender streaming back.
07:46You look hesitant there.
07:47Went to play it across.
07:49Might have gone near post.
07:50Cleared off the line to deny it.
07:52Angelo.
07:53And then Brobby's shot was deflected.
07:55Why?
07:58The fans want it done.
08:00Brobby.
08:02Sunderland have won.
08:04Victory for Regis Labrie.
08:06Their first victory in Europe.
08:08Since the autumn of 1973.
08:1073.
