00:02Ford is recalling more than 223,472 F-150 pickup trucks because of an improperly secured fuel
00:10tank, according to Fox Business. The recall covers certain model years, 2023 through 2027
00:15F-150 pickups, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
00:20The agency said front fuel tank strap T-slots may not have been properly inserted into the
00:24vehicle's frame rail during assembly. An unsecured fuel tank could cause fuel loss,
00:29increasing the risk of a fire or engine stall. A detached tank could also create a road hazard.
00:35Ford estimates about 1% of recalled vehicles have the defect. Owners will be notified by mail
00:40beginning September 21st and can have their vehicles inspected and repaired for free at
00:44a Ford or Lincoln dealer. For all things money, visit Benzinga.com.
