00:00We need to have a come-to-Jesus moment and start asking ourselves why we are shoveling so much personal
00:06information and data into AI chatbots.
00:09We're stuck in a fear-versus-behavior paradox here because the majority of American adults are using AI, and yet
00:15the majority agree that it's making their data less secure.
00:18And there's a lot of reasons to be worried. Anthropics models in certain tests have shown an ability to blackmail.
00:24OpenAI's models recently committed a massive hack.
00:27There are also creepy and dystopian ways that your data can be used, for example, marketing in hyper-specific ways
00:34to you,
00:35or even an insurance company, for instance, that wants to know whether or not you're talking about certain symptoms with
00:40your AI bot or you've admitted to a smoking habit.
00:43This seems like the perfect moment to be having these conversations and demanding answers of AI companies that want to
00:48advertise to you,
00:49that are taking enormous amounts of your data, and that aren't actually giving you enough clarity as a consumer.
00:54But unfortunately, I think a lot of us are falling into the trap of thinking this is so convenient that
00:59I'm just going to be willfully ignorant of all of the privacy concerns.
