00:15vandalized around the town of Douai, one local resident says that for this type of action to
00:20work, people need to mobilize en masse.
00:37Meanwhile, some places across France, including Paris, saw prices for diesel go up to almost
00:44€2.50 per litre, causing some French motorists to flock to Total Energy's service stations
00:51as they announced a cap of €1.99 per litre of E10 petrol and at €2.25 for diesel, considerably
00:59less than the national average. Other petrol stations, especially independent stations
01:05and supermarkets, are complaining about what they call unfair competition from Total Energies.
01:12The energy giant can afford to sell fuel more cheaply because it also produces and refines
01:18oil, even if it incurs considerable losses at their pumps.
