In this video, we have Weidmann’s Restaurant in Meridian, Mississippi, to thank for showing us how to make this Bourbon Pie, first shared with us in 1966. With just six ingredients and no baking required, it’s every bit as delicious 60 years later. 00:00If you love pie but hate baking, bourbon pie's got your name written all over it.
00:04So this bourbon pie is another gem from our recipe vault,
00:07and it comes from Weidman's Restaurant in Meridian, Mississippi.
00:10And it's wild because I'm from Mississippi, and I've been to Weidman's.
00:13I think it opened back in the 1870s.
00:15It's been around forever, and it's still open today.
00:17It really takes you back to times when recipes were simple,
00:21they were easy to make, but they were no less delicious than they are today.
00:23If you're a little nervous about having alcohol in your desserts, don't be scared.
00:27This only takes two tablespoons of bourbon.
00:28It's surprisingly not very bourbon.
00:30Now it is.
00:31Woo!
