Kramer announces that he and Newman are reversing their peepholes so they can spot anyone waiting to ambush them before entering their apartments. Elaine immediately points out the rather obvious problem with this security upgrade — people in the hallway will be able to see inside.

Seinfeld turned Kramer’s questionable logic into an art form, and his solution to the privacy problem is pure Kramer. As far as he and Newman are concerned, anyone curious enough to look through the peephole is welcome to enjoy the show.
