Poland and Ukraine slam Russian strike on train near their border as 'escalation

The strike hit a Warsaw-bound train near to the border a short time after another train carrying various foreign dignitaries passed through the same track.

00:00A Warsaw-bound passenger train has been struck by a Russian attack just two kilometers from the Polish border,
00:06shortly after trains carrying senior foreign dignitaries passed through the area.
00:10No casualties were reported.
00:12Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and several EU officials were traveling on one train,
00:17while former CIA Director David Petrauss was aboard another.
00:22Petrauss said he heard Russian drones followed by an explosion,
00:25prompting passengers to be quickly evacuated.
00:28Johnson called to strike a random and senseless attack,
00:31while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Moscow had deliberately targeted the locomotive.
00:37Western Ukraine in the early hours of Sunday had already been pounded with drone hits,
00:41setting fire to a gas station near the border crossing with Poland.
00:45Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk chaired an emergency meeting,
00:48warning that Russia could escalate the war in the coming weeks,
00:51and that Poland could not rule out its territory being affected.
00:55Russia said it had targeted railway infrastructure used to transport military cargo from European countries.

01:05said the strike was an attempt to scare Ukraine's Western allies
