00:01A Russian drone strike on a passenger train in Ukraine's Odessa region on Thursday killed two people.
00:07The victims of the attack were two crew members, the driver and an assistant.

00:15In a post on ex-Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky said hundreds of people were on board the train,
00:21accusing Russia of targeting the locomotive which it would have known was carrying only civilians.
00:27It is not the first time Russia has targeted a passenger train,
00:30as Moscow ramped up its attacks on Ukraine's civilian and critical infrastructure in recent months.
00:36A recent report by the United Nations revealed civilian deaths in Ukraine reached a record high in July,
00:43the monthly highest since May 2022.
00:46The report found at least 437 civilians were killed that month,
00:51a 30% increase compared to June and a 70% increase compared to July the year before.
00:59Ukraine on its end has also ramped up its campaign against Russia's critical and military infrastructure in recent months.
