00:00And this is what you are looking for if someone wants to join here.
00:06Yeah, okay, somebody who wants to join this company
00:12has to come with an approach that we are not going to have sleep pods here.
00:20We are not going to have plush cafeterias here, food coupons here, cab pickups.
00:28Although we have a policy after 8 o'clock, if everyone stays, we have cab drops and everything.
00:33But if somebody wants to make first earn well,
00:40to have fulfillment in life that whatever work they are doing
00:43is also bringing about social change.
00:47While they build their career, they are also building the nation.
00:51And they are ready to work with an acceptability that
00:58they should have a problem-solving attitude,
01:01you will go places in this company.
01:03You will go absolute places in the company.
01:06And I can assure you of that.
01:07My senior team can assure each one who is listening to this podcast at this point of time
01:11can be rest assured that this organization has one of the best working places
01:17in the world that I have ever worked.
01:20We are very small compared to large corporations.
01:23We may not have large infrastructures.
01:25But we are great at empathy.
01:28And we are great at realizing that there are human beings who are at work
01:36rather than humanoids.
01:38But for us also, as long as you are solving a problem,
01:41one step, one math after another,
01:43you will go places in this company.
01:45Because we do not have the baggage of seniority against merit.
01:55Merit takes first place.
01:57So if you are a 50-year-old and you have worked with the company for 20 years,
02:01you must be performing, first of all.
02:04But that doesn't guarantee that somebody,
02:0828-year-old, won't go above you
02:11if that person has the capacity.
02:14And because identification and spotting of talent
02:17is something that I do really good at this point of time
02:19and that's perhaps my only job now
02:21is to spot talent and incubate them.
02:24I think if you are from this generation
02:27and if you want to do something of that level,
02:31then this company provides you the best place to work on.
02:33I'm not saying against any other company.
02:35They also might have better places.
02:36But I'm talking about only this place.
02:38You know, I still remember that
02:40you know, last podcast you mentioned about that
02:44if the person doesn't know anything, it's good.
02:48Correct.
02:48I remember.
02:49But attitude has to do something that he's ready to learn something.
02:53See, as leaders also,
02:54you leaders also,
02:55I talk to so many CEOs and we go for round tables and all that.
02:58I have understood the great ones are very different from the good ones.
03:02The great ones are always listening.
03:06And they're usually quiet.
03:08The great ones, right?
03:10And they're not very flamboyant.
03:13And they're always listening because of the willingness to learn.
03:18Means today also,
03:20I don't hesitate reaching out to my program team and saying,
03:24how do you do that?
03:26It didn't come to me.
03:27How do you do that?
03:28Tell me, explain to me.
03:29And I sit with them.
03:31Not from an angle of being a founder,
03:33founder to show you.
03:3418 years ago, my team has taken over.
03:36Founder, founder, founder, no need to play.
03:40You started.
03:41But today, 18 years,
03:42it wouldn't have been possible without the team.
03:44So even with the team,
03:45you sit down and I say,
03:46okay,
03:47some of the toughest decisions of this company,
03:49the team has taken.
03:51I have not.
03:51I have complied with.
03:54So
03:55if you are
03:57willing to learn
03:57and if you are willing to accept that
04:00people know,
04:01people might know more than you
04:03and you're gaining
04:04not only for leadership,
04:05for personal growth also,
04:06that is the foundational stone.
04:09See,
04:09Einstein also said,
04:10I'm not a genius.
04:12I'm just curious.
04:14So if you're curious enough to learn about things,
04:18you will learn.
04:19You will not require always.
04:22You know,
04:22you see,
04:24if you are the smartest person in the room,
04:25you're in the wrong room.
04:28So I believe that.
04:30And I seriously know,
04:32I hope my core team doesn't listen to this part of the podcast,
04:35but they're really smart.
04:38And,
04:38and they really push me hard.
04:40And I think that if you ask me,
04:42what have I gained,
04:43achieved in these 18 years of working here,
04:45I think because of that,
04:47I've become more sensible in my personal life.
04:52that that force that I have to be right.
04:54Always.
04:55I have to prove myself.
04:56Always has really gone out,
04:57has fizzled out.
05:00And it is,
05:02it has always come that sometimes you are wrong.
05:08I have now realized as a leader that,
05:14you know,
05:14you need to take a back seat.
05:15Be acceptable.
05:16We accept the fact that you may be wrong at times.
05:19Appreciate,
05:19recognize,
05:20and just keep your hand at the back of every team member and say,
05:23I'm there.
05:24That's all that they need.
