The Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department detained 472 foreign nationals during a Mega Integrated Enforcement Operation at Lebuh Pudu on Sunday (Sept 13).

Its director, Datuk Hamsha Injau said the operation began at about 11am, with checks conducted on around 2,500 foreign nationals.

00:23Those detained comprised 439 men and 33 women, aged between 18 and 62, from several countries,
00:33including Bangladesh, Myanmar, Indonesia, Nepal, India, and China.
00:39Hamsha said the offenses detected included not having valid identification documents,
00:45overstaying and using unrecognized documents.
00:48He said Labu Pudu was targeted following public complaints over the large presence of foreign
00:54nationals and premises suspected of operating illegally.
00:58The detainees will be taken to the Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot for investigation and further
01:04action.
