00:01The Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department detained 472 foreign nationals during a mega-integrated
00:09enforcement operation at Labu Pudu on Sunday.
00:13Its director, Datuk Hamsha Injau, said the operation began at about 11 a.m., with checks
00:20conducted on around 2,500 foreign nationals.
00:23Those detained comprised 439 men and 33 women, aged between 18 and 62, from several countries,
00:33including Bangladesh, Myanmar, Indonesia, Nepal, India, and China.
00:39Hamsha said the offenses detected included not having valid identification documents,
00:45overstaying and using unrecognized documents.
00:48He said Labu Pudu was targeted following public complaints over the large presence of foreign
00:54nationals and premises suspected of operating illegally.
00:58The detainees will be taken to the Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot for investigation and further
01:04action.
