00:00The BRICS Summit actually consists of 21 total members, 11 of which are the original core
00:08BRICS nations, and the other 10 are recent additions to the Alliance, have been officially
00:16incorporated into the expanded coalition known as BRICS+. Collectively, these nations now
00:21account for more than 45% of the entire global population, and they encompass roughly 35%
00:26of the total landmass on our planet. The primary goals we are pursuing here are really about
00:33actively resisting the trend of unilateralism and endeavoring to help countries operate with
00:38their own full and sovereign independence. And in that regard, the theme they've chosen
00:46for this year's summit is solidarity, sustainability, resilience, and of course innovation. It's
00:55mostly going to be about exchanging economic, financial, industrial, scientific, and trade
01:01matters between all these different countries. Regarding monetary issues, a specific bank has
01:09been set up within BRICS, the new development bank, so that investments and all joint activities
01:16and collaborative projects can be managed through that specific financial institution. The primary
01:22objective is to ensure they can conduct business without relying on the U.S. dollar, allowing
01:28regional development to take a concrete and sustainable shape, while enabling them to push back against
01:34the hegemony the U.S. and its allies currently pursue.
