00:20Crossland Moor representatives have been campaigning to fix the long-forgotten Rashcliffe Park for five years.
00:27One parent, who did not wish to be named, told the local Democracy Reporting Service that her two-year-old
00:32had only recently recovered from a black eye after tripping over at the park.
00:37Another of her children grazed her hand on stones which had been shoved under a piece of equipment.
00:43The parent also explained that the area was rife with antisocial behaviour, including fly-tipping and e-bike nuisance.

00:58this is one of the only places to take children to play in the area.
01:03Councillor Pip Harvey, the cabinet member for Place, Culture and Volunteering at Kirklees Council,
01:09said the council is progressing plans to upgrade the park, and ward councillors were given an update last month
01:14confirming that survey work has been completed and the design process is underway.
01:19She said her focus is on working constructively with local councillors and residents
01:24to make sure the council delivers the best possible improvements for the community.
