00:00Which shampoo should you use? Hi, I am Namita Graval and if you are standing in front of a
00:06supermarket shelf wondering which shampoo to pick, let's make it simple. There isn't one shampoo
00:12that's best for everyone. First, oily scalp. If your scalp gets greasy quickly, choose an oil
00:19controlled, balancing or clarifying shampoo. You may need to wash more frequently. Dry, rough,
00:24frizzy hair. Go for a moisturizing or hydrating shampoo. Look for ingredients. With moisture
00:31can always follow with conditioner. Fine on thin hair. Try a lightweight or volumizing shampoo
00:37so your hair doesn't feel way down. Thick, coarse or curly hair. A moisturizing shampoo
00:43is usually a good choice. Curly hair can be prone to dryness and breakage so avoid overwashing.
00:50Straight or normal hair. Gentle every day. A regular shampoo can work depending on how
00:55oily your scalp is. Dandruff. Look for an anti-dandruff shampoo with ingredients such as
01:02catechonazole, selenium sulfide, salicylic acid. Follow the instructions on the product. Colored
01:08hair. Choose a gentle moisturizing shampoo designed for treated hair and reduce excessive
01:14heat and chemical treatments. And then there are clarifying shampoos. Useful when you have
01:19heavy product build up but they aren't necessary made for everyday use. There's also dry shampoo.
01:26It's useful for temporary absorbing oil. But it doesn't replace regular shampoo and water.
01:32Remember, hair fall, breakage, itching, dandruff may have causes that shampoo cannot face.
01:39Easiest rule. Choose your shampoo according to your scalp first. And your hair type second.
01:44So what's your hair type? Oily? Dry? Curly? Straight? Fine or damaged? Tell me in the comments
01:51and follow Asia next for more simple practical beauty and lifestyle tips.
01:55So that's it.
