Olivia Chow officially kicked off her re-election campaign Wednesday (09.September.2026) at the Danforth Music Hall crammed with Torontonians from downtown to Scarborough — including a lineup that at one point stretched along the Danforth and down Broadview Avenue.

Among the roughly 1,000 people in attendance were representatives of various labour unions, elected officials from all levels of government, local advocates, candidates for ward races, a local comedian and a prominent Canadian singer-songwriter.
