00:08This unassuming piece of paper is your secret entry into the awesomely rocking world of paper folding.
00:15For centuries, people have been paper folding to make all kinds of awesome things, like animals and flowers.
00:21In Japan, they call it origami, and in China, they call it xie xie.
00:25It's super tons of fun, and they make great favors at the parties my panda pals throw.

00:32Now that is what I call a panda party paper pal.

00:39Let's do one together.
00:41Get ready to do some paper foo.
00:45First, let's fold the paper in half so that the panda is facing you.
00:51Um, is everything upside down to you?
00:53Good. It's supposed to be.
00:54Now fold it in half again so you have a square.
01:02Open that front flap towards you and flatten it down to a triangle so it looks like this.
01:11Flip it over, and we'll do the same thing to the other side.
01:15Open the front flap and fold it down.
01:18Fold.
01:19Now we've got a triangle.
01:22Fold the bottom corners up to the top of the triangle.
01:27Now as you fold, you'll see a pattern emerge.
01:30Those are the shoulders, and those are the cute little ears.
01:36Flip it over and do the same thing.
01:38Fold the bottom corners up to the top of the triangle.
01:43Now it looks like a diamond.
01:46Oh, there's another ear.
01:48Fold the corners so that they point to the middle.
02:09Good.
02:10Now, here comes the tricky part.
02:12We're going to take this triangle on the side.
02:14See this one?
02:15And open a little pocket in it.
02:17Now we're going to fold the small top triangle into that pocket.
02:23Yes!
02:24Just like that.
02:25Now, do it again on the other side.
02:28Now, we're going to flip it over and fold both of the triangles into the pockets just like we did
02:34before.
02:34Hmm, I wonder what else we can put in those pockets.
02:37Maybe some bean buns, action figures maybe.
02:40Oh, how about a snackless?
02:43One more step and we're done.
02:45Hold down the sides a little bit so you can see the face.
02:48Hello, little panda face.
02:50Blow into the little hole on the top, like this.
02:54There you go.
02:55Now, see these pesky tabs?
02:58If you want to keep those down, you can just use a little tape.
03:01One piece of tape on this side, another one on that side.
03:05If yours doesn't look as good as this one, no big deal.
