Cole Hauser's Rip Wheeler is entering unfamiliar territory in Dutton Ranch. After years as one of Yellowstone's toughest cowboys, Rip now has to balance life on horseback with the business side of running the cattle operation he and Beth Dutton are building together.

But business may have to wait. Carter's kidnapping leaves Rip and Beth facing a much more immediate crisis, setting up major unfinished business before their story can move forward. Season 2 is expected to begin filming in early 2027, with new episodes anticipated later that year on Paramount+.
