🏔️🇹🇭 Mount Kailash, one of the world’s most mysterious sacred peaks

Rising to around 6,638 meters (21,778 feet) in Tibet, Mount Kailash is considered sacred in several religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and Bon.

Despite its imposing height, Mount Kailash has never been officially climbed, largely because religious traditions regard the mountain as sacred and climbing it is prohibited.

Pilgrims instead undertake the kora, a ritual journey around the mountain — turning its remote slopes into a destination of profound spiritual significance rather than a conventional mountaineering objective.
