00:12In the garden he fell to his knees
00:15Sweat like blood dropped down through the trees
00:19Father, if there is any other way
00:23But not my will, yours alone today
00:30They came with clubs and torches and lies
00:33Kissed him with hatred in their eyes
00:43He dragged him away in the dead of the night
00:47Beat him and spit and mocked his pure light
00:51They pressed a crown of sharp thorns on his head
00:54Blood ran down his face as the soldiers all said
00:58Hail, King of the Jews
01:00While they laughed at his pain
01:02Then they stripped him and flogged him
01:06Again and again
01:13They forced him to carry the heavy wood cross
01:17Through the streets while the crowd called him lost
01:21They drove long iron nails through his hands and his feet
01:24Lifted him up between thieves on the street
01:28The sky turned black in the middle of day
01:31As the weight of our sin on his shoulders did lay
01:37He cried out loud
01:38He cried out loud
01:39My God, why have you left me alone?
01:41The pure Son of God felt the wrath we had sown
01:45Then he said it is finished and bowed his dear head
01:48Gave up his spirit and the innocent was dead
01:52They took down his body so torn and so still
01:56Wrapped him in cloth and laid him in the hill
02:01He died for our sins on that old rugged tree
02:06The perfect lamb bleeding for you and for me
02:10Every wrong we have done, every dark hidden knife
02:14Was paid in full by his life and his lie
02:17The cross is the place where the guilty go free
02:24Because Jesus loved us enough to die for me
02:37Early that morning, while it was still dark
02:41The women came weeping with spices and hearts
02:44They walked to the tomb where they laid him to rest
02:48But the stone was rolled back and the grave was empty and blessed
02:53An angel sat shining in clothes pure and white and said
02:57To the women with heaven's own light
03:03Why do you look for the living among the dead?
03:07He is not here, he is risen, just as he said
03:11They ran from the garden with fear and with joy
03:15To tell the disciples the news of their Lord
03:19Peter and John raced to see for themselves
03:22Found the cloth lying empty
03:26And the tomb full of hope
03:29He died for our sins on that old rugged tree
03:34The perfect lamb bleeding for you and for me
03:37But death could not hold him, the grave could not keep
03:41The Savior who loves us and rose from his sleep
03:45The tomb is still empty, the stone is still gone
03:49Jesus is living
03:53And the darkness is done
03:57Come to the cross
04:00See what he did
04:04Believe he is risen
04:08And live
04:17Oh, God
04:28Oh, God
04:31Oh, God
04:37Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
05:07Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
