CENTCOM released footage showing U.S. forces striking three Iranian crude oil tankers on September 5. The U.S. says two tankers were permanently disabled and a third was destroyed after Iranian ballistic-missile attacks targeted two U.S. Navy warships.
The strikes mark a major escalation in tensions between the United States and Iran.
