00:00Reform's annual party conference here in Birmingham has been somewhat overshadowed
00:03by revelations that senior party officials plotted to pay foreign donors for off-the-book polling.
00:10Nigel Farage was among the reform leaders secretly filmed by undercover journalists
00:14appearing to accept polls being paid for by a US donor against UK electoral laws.
00:19Two senior reform aides have now stepped down and there are calls for a police investigation.
00:23We asked some of the delegates here in Birmingham what they think of the scandal.
00:26It's the left and the establishment just trying to stop Nigel getting in power but you know we've
00:32seen it all before. I don't know the ins and outs of it because it's quite new but they're scared
00:37because they know he's going to get in power and they'll do anything they can to stop him.
00:41It's all the mainstream media and the opposition digging up as much as they can against him
00:47because they're absolutely frightened. Every scandal bothers me and of course you've got to keep it
00:52clean but I think I think things have been over exaggerated a little bit there's been funding
00:56scandals all the way through. Cash for questions back in the 80s 90s same thing you know go look
01:01at it labor up their neck up their neck in terrible things yeah. I'm probably just as fed up as
01:07everybody
01:07else about all the lies and all the stuff that's going on this this is just another bunch of rubbish.
01:14I mean yes two people have stood down and I'm if they are implicit in anything then I'm glad they've
01:22stood down. I think there's a lot of guilty until proven innocent as well. The problem is is that
01:27everything gets thrown at Nigel everything gets thrown at reform and we know it so until they prove
01:34until there is evidence until an investigation inquiry or whatever you want to call it comes to its conclusion
01:42then we can judge from there.
