00:02Nearly 100 U.S. citizens are still missing following catastrophic flash floods along
00:06the border of China and Nepal and President Trump is promising to send aid to the ravaged

00:15According to the State Department, as of Thursday, August 27th, 90 Americans remained unaccounted
00:20for amid the destruction.
00:21The agency added that they're not aware of any reported U.S. deaths and three Americans
00:26have been rescued so far.
00:27Heart-wrenching social media posts have been popping up of family members desperate for
00:30news about missing loved ones, many of whom were on pilgrimage to the sacred villages site
00:34of Mount Kailash in Tibet.
00:36Among the missing Americans are a Texas couple celebrating a birthday trip, a Virginia woman
00:40with a tour group, and several New Yorkers who were crossing from Nepal into Tibet when
00:44the rush of water swept through.
00:45The flood was triggered by a glacier collapse that forced ice and debris to accumulate.
00:49When that struck a river about 12 miles from the China-Nepal border, it caused a dam to
00:53burst.
00:54More than a thousand people are still missing and well over 300 are dead, and those fatality
00:58numbers are sadly expected to rise.
