00:20Siamo al-Taliban in attraverte al-Afghanistan
00:23That they literally ban momenati
00:27la maggior parte delle cose che hanno scoperto le scuole di raggiungere le 6
00:31e le donne non sono permette di lavorare ancora
00:35non sono permette di andare al parco
00:39le cose semplici in la vita non sono permette di farlo ancora
00:44ovviamente, besides my singing career
00:46sono anche un'attivista per le donne in Afghanistan
00:52and I thought, you know what, we need to stand against this injustice
00:58against Taliban, what they're doing
01:01and so I thought initially it would be a great idea
01:04to do this ladies only concert
01:06where we show the power of women
01:09where we stand together as women
01:11and raise our voice and raise awareness
01:14against the injustices that's going on in Afghanistan
01:28There's so much that I could do in my country, there's so much
01:31but right now I am unable to do that
01:34because of the fact that I'm not allowed to go back to Afghanistan
01:37I'm not allowed to physically be there
01:39be on the screen of the TV, give out my messages
01:42be that support and that hope for the Afghan women
01:45I cannot do that anymore, so much
01:48but the one thing that I'm grateful for
01:50the fact that we were able to establish the organization outside Afghanistan
01:55I have this organization called DEFA
01:58which stands for Defenders of Equality, Freedom and Advancement for Women
02:05I speak to around 100 Afghan women or girls inside Afghanistan
02:11on a monthly basis through my organization, DEFA, through Zoom
02:16and I actually get to speak to them, ask them questions, hear their stories
02:20and I keep on telling them to not give up hope
02:23to keep fighting, to keep fighting for the rights
02:25to raise their voices and be hopeful
02:29because I honestly, I do feel from the bottom of my heart
02:32that these dark days will pass, they will not exist forever
02:36this is at least, as a human, this is what I think
02:39because what they have brought upon women in Afghanistan
02:42it's ridiculous and it's inhuman
02:45and inhumanity and this kind of a life
02:49I don't think it can last forever
02:52people will eventually raise their voices
02:55people will eventually stand up against them
02:57and justice will prevail
02:59maybe it will, I don't know when
03:01maybe it will last another 2, 3, 4, 5 years
03:04but it cannot be forever
03:05I don't believe that
