00:00Pablo put out this post right before we went live, and he was like, new investigation tomorrow, and it's Mark
00:08Walter holding up a Dodgers-Trump jersey, presenting it to Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., and John, it seems
00:17like we have another victim here just one day after one of the most massive investigation punishments of all time.
00:26I will continue to say this, and I said this then. The fact that Mark Walters went to the White
00:33House, had the celebration with Trump, gave him a big, fat championship ring because we know Trump loves to receive
00:39things, and then all of a sudden, Josh Kushner and Bob Iger, Josh Kushner more importantly, are involved in the
00:47sale of the Los Angeles Lakers.
00:49That stinks in so many different directions. It doesn't make any sense because, again, when you look at how much
00:57money Josh Kushner and Bob Iger are worth, it doesn't amount to what they paid for the team.
01:04So none of this makes any sense unless it all makes sense, and it's rotten.
01:11So if Pablo knows something or has something that is even close to what I'm talking about, Mark Walter's got
01:19to go.
01:19And I mean Mark Walter's got to go off every team. Whatever he owns, he got to go.
01:26Yeah, this is because, again, owners in sports, right? And I have that on the bottom ticker, and it's just
01:35like what has happened over these past – here's the thing I'll say about it.
01:41On one hand, I am like obviously in support of this awesome investigative journalism that has happened here to take
01:49down billionaires that get away with a lot of weird stuff, right?
01:53I'm very glad that that has happened because I feel like the public and the fans and people that are
01:59paying for these teams to operate should know about all these things, and they should be penalized for a lot
02:05of these things.
02:06And it's just because now we're getting intertwined with politics too.
02:10So now there's the political – and I don't know what this investigation for this Dodgers thing is going to
02:16be or Mark Walter thing I guess is going to be when you guys see it.
02:20But my God, I mean if it's politically intertwined with sports, like what does that do for the image of
02:27sports ownership?
02:28It's insane because you want wealthy owners.
02:32Every team wants a wealthy owner.
02:34Hey, we want to spend on this.
02:35We want to be able to buy good scouting departments and good front office managers.
02:39We want to bring in the best GMs and all the – but at what cost?
02:43Do you get suspended two years later?
02:45When you start getting to these numbers that they're getting to, like $13 billion to purchase the Lakers, that type
02:52of money,
02:54in the way that they make the venture capitalists, investment capitalists, however you want to define the term – I
03:01call them vulture capitalists.
03:03But regardless of how you want to define the term, the way that they make massive amounts of money and
03:10borrow against this and lean against that
03:12to create these large sums of money that they then go and they purchase things on the backs of other
03:20things basically ensured money.
03:22It's almost as if they're playing with monopoly money the way that they create this and they bend it to
03:28their reality.
03:31If you're a league, if you're the NBA, yes, you want that money, but do you really want the suspicion
03:38that's now starting to come with that money?
03:40Right.
03:40Because, again, the Lakers then sell.
03:42Then the Timberwolves sell.
03:44Then before this, the Trailblazers sold.
03:46And so if you're trying to get somebody to purchase the team in Las Vegas, you're trying to get somebody
03:53to purchase the team in Seattle.
03:54And so the amount of money that the influx of cash that the league is going to get, you can't
04:01be so greedy that you blind yourself from things that clearly look to be suspicious or suspect at best.
04:09And look at this, Joshua Kushner, who, by the way, just entered into a deal to buy the Lakers with
04:15Bob Iger.
04:16Well, he has his own sell-off scheme with FIFA and the UEFA.
04:22And, hey, Lakers, get in the sky to be your co-owner or whatever, I guess.
04:29I don't even know what the percentages are.
04:30The only thing that stopped that, by the way, the only thing that stopped what Josh Kushner was trying to
04:35do with FIFA is the teams, not the organization FIFA, the teams said, we will not play.
04:43Yeah.
04:44They said, we won't play.
04:45And if they don't play, nobody makes money.
04:48And that's why that fell apart.
04:50And so I don't think the NBA has that type of courage amongst their owners because either it's all super
04:56rich money or it's super rich new money.
05:00And in the NBA of all the sports, they're about to become super rich new money fighting super rich old
05:07money.
05:08And I don't like it.
05:10I don't.
05:11For my game, I don't like it.
05:12And it's funny because at this point, anyone that's looking for a new owner should just be like, are they
05:17in any legal trouble or any schemes?
05:20I don't care what money they have.
05:22Are they going to be caught in a few years?
05:24That's all we care about.
05:25Yeah.
05:26That's it.
05:27Because that's what it's gotten to.
05:29You have to look up somebody's background if they've been involved in any schemes before you even say, oh, I
05:34love this owner.
