00:43You know, for Jon Moxley and Shingo Takagi, for a majority of their careers, they've been like two shifts passing
00:50in the night.
00:51They shared locker rooms together.
00:53We're even a part of the same unit back in Dragon Gate USA.
00:56That was Kamikaze USA, but even that was a blip in their extensive, nearly 20-year careers that they both

01:03Only one singles contest between these two has taken place throughout their entire careers.
01:10It would be Jon Moxley in the 2019 G1 Climax, scoring a victory over Shingo Takagi in 14 minutes, 45
01:18seconds.
01:18That's a nice Shingo Takagi has not forgotten.
01:21Both men were announced for Battle of the Valley.
01:23Neither man had a match-up.
01:25It was Shingo Takagi following New Year Dash, who said,
01:29Jon, I think I have an idea and I think you're gonna like it.
01:32San Jose, California, no disqualification, and it was set from there.
01:39And as we await the presence of Jon Moxley.
01:51Moxley competed at Wrestle Kingdom 18 in that three-way matchup against Will Ospreay.
01:57And of course the winner, David Finley for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.

02:04Also in a losing effort, but it was Moxley who would say, I don't feel like I got my ass
02:09whooped enough.
02:10And Takagi, I guess he feels more than willing to oblige Jon Moxley in any whooping that may take place
02:17tonight in San Jose.
02:20Obviously, it seems that Jon Moxley, by letting out the challenge and just knowing his history and his comfort zone,
02:30would have the clear advantage in an overall cage match.
02:33But listen, let's keep in mind, Shingo Takagi has gotten hardcore in the past.
02:37He had that incredibly violent rivalry with PLP just a couple years ago.
02:44I'm looking forward to seeing Shingo Takagi step up to Jon Moxley's level when it comes to this no DQ

02:52Yeah, I believe he also had some violent matches with Hanare in Japan.
02:58And Takagi's gotta be looking for, you know, a measure of retribution on his own.
