00:07Rape in the first, forcible compulsion, convicted rapists, Interpol in Germany had this guy out there, sexual contact against a
00:16child.
00:17And y'all were able to do this quietly.
00:20Well, look, it was a really very well planned, strategic operation, right?
00:25Very targeted operation. So the way we did it, you know, moving in and out every two days.
00:30Going to different parts of the state. We didn't get the open border advocates time to gather up and interfere
00:36and spit on officers and, you know, get their YouTube moments that they, you know, send out in the media
00:42and miss, you know, misidentify ICE officers and what they're doing.
00:46And so it was a good operation. And I say, well, target operation is actually closer to 2,200 aliens
00:53arrested in 30 days.
00:54So for those who say targeted enforcement operations don't work, this is an example it does, because in June of
01:01this year, ICE made a broken historic record.
01:05And they arrested more illegal aliens in the month of June than any time in the history of the agency.
01:10July, they broke June's number. And yesterday I saw the numbers.
01:14August, a brand new historic number of number of aliens ICE is arresting. They're breaking records every month.
01:19So for all the people that are saying that ICE is not moving, doing deportations, that's just not true based
01:25on the numbers, huh?
01:27Record number of arrests, historic record numbers of arrests, historic number of deportations.
01:32ICE is sitting on all cylinders and they're doing what the president promised American people.
01:37Promises made, promises kept, most secure border in the history of the nation and record number of immigration arrests and
01:43deportations.
01:44So, Tom, not everyone is happy about this. You've got Hochul, the governor, and Mandami saying this.
01:53We notify ICE that these individuals are about to be released and they should be deported.
01:59That's always been our policy for decades. You know what? Sometimes they don't even show up.
02:04ICE doesn't even do their job. They don't care. So I'm not buying what they're selling here.
02:08What we are seeing, however, from ICE is an attempt to criminalize the very fact of being an immigrant.
02:15And we are seeing a terrorizing of immigrants across our city and, frankly, across our nation.
02:22First take on what Hochul said, that ICE isn't showing up to pick up the criminals.
02:28And then Mandami says that you guys are just targeting foreigners and terrorizing them.
02:36Look, you know, but first of all, Hochul's lying, stone-cold lie.
02:40This past year, over 13,000 detainers weren't honored.
02:45So she says she cares about, you know, working with ICE on criminal alien public safety threats.
02:5113,000 detainers that weren't honored.
02:54And also, she just signed legislation that says local law enforcement can't work with us.
02:59She ended the 287G programs.
03:02And she no longer allows us to rent beds from local sheriffs.
03:05So these, you know, the 2,200 aliens we arrested, many of them we moved out of state immediately because
03:11we don't have a bed here in the state.
03:12And finally, I'll tell her this.
03:14Listen to your own sheriffs.
03:15You've got 15 sheriffs in the state suing you over this legislation that you just signed.
03:22These are career law enforcement officers that know their community better than she does.
03:26And she says this is about local law enforcement doing local, you know, keeping their neighborhoods safe.
03:3115 of her own sheriffs are suing her because they're saying this makes communities less safe.
03:36As far as Mandami, look, I'm an equal opportunity deporter.
03:40I don't care where you're from.
03:41I don't care, you know, I don't care what country you're from.
03:43If you've got an order of removal issued by the immigration judge, you're going to go home.
03:50Tom, you've sat with families that were victims of sanctuary city policies.
03:56There was a hearing yesterday about this very thing.
03:59And this is how one of the Democrats on that committee responded.
04:04Let's play it.
04:05Ms. Fox, Mr. Coleman, I am just deeply, deeply sorry about what happened to your children.
04:13It is unimaginable.
04:15And I thank you for being brave enough to come here and testify today.
04:23I want to just say, as Mr. Raskin pointed out, that we're here again talking about sanctuary cities.
04:29And we do have a bill that passed out of this committee and hasn't been brought to the floor.
04:35And so I am confused about that, why we're having another hearing on something where we have active legislation.
04:45Why are we having another hearing on this?
04:47Can you believe that?
04:48We got dead Americans, victims, people that are paralyzed as a result of illegal aliens not being able to drive.
04:56I've talked to hundreds, literally hundreds, of angel moms and dads who buried their children because their children were killed
05:04by an illegal alien.
05:06Congress needs to do something.
05:08I mean, sanctuary cities are sanctuaries for criminals.
05:11I think most American people support what ICE is doing.
05:15If you're in the country illegally, which is a crime, you're in the country illegally, and you commit offense against
05:19a U.S. citizen, they should be on the table for all law enforcement.
05:24Sanctuary cities are sanctuaries for criminals.
05:26And if you let ICE agents into the safety and security of the jail, like this New York operation, we
05:33got quite a few collaterals.
05:34Why is that?
05:35Because I told Governor Hochul, if you lock us out of the jails, now we got to go to the
05:39streets and find the bad guy.
05:40And when we find the bad guy, or we're in process of finding the bad guy, we're going to find
05:45others.
05:45Others that may not be a public safety threat, but in their country illegally.
05:49Sanctuary cities make communities less safe.
05:51They make our officers' jobs more dangerous.
05:53And it's also more dangerous for the illegal alien, because anything can happen on street arrest.
05:58So, you know, Congress needs to finally do something about sanctuary cities.
06:02It's unlawful.
06:03DOJ is suing.
06:04President Trump is taking on sanctuary cities.
06:07Look, you know, again, President Trump gave the American people what he promised he'd give them.
06:11We have the most secure border lawrence.
06:13You've been down there many times.
06:14It's never been this secure.
06:16It hasn't been that secure.
06:17And when the president sent you to Minneapolis to take control of this operation, the entire trajectory changed.
06:26And that's credit to the president and credit to your experience as well, Tom.
