00:10Being part of this mission is very important. Knowing that what we do is looked at from the
00:16highest level all the way up to the president. Having that sense of pride in what you do is
00:21amazing. So everyone's role is different. It all just depends on where you are posted for the day.
00:28It could be part of our forward element, scouting the route ahead, looking for any dangerous
00:32areas or suspicious vehicles. It could also be part of the element that's on the PT van
00:38itself, locking down the traffic or the immediate response force if anything were to go wrong.
00:42It could also be part of the fire observer. He's in charge of talking to the helicopter,
00:47making sure what they see is translated down to our leadership team. It's not as easy as just
00:54getting in a vehicle and driving down the road. There's a lot of planning and preparation that
00:58goes into our day-to-day operations. All the way from the lowest level up to the highest level,
01:02everyone is working to get this job done.
01:09When it comes to planning a single convoy, it starts up with our integrated planning cell.
01:13They will come together and set up our timelines, locations, and then from that they push out to
01:18all the entities who are involved. We have the maintainers, we have the security forces members,
01:22we have local law enforcement, OSI. When it comes to maintenance, it's not just the missile maintenance.
01:26We have vehicle maintenance that also help us get all our vehicles squared away. They even roll
01:31us in the convoy for any issues that may come about. And then we will plan our routes, do our
01:36reconnaissance of them, and get all the teams together for briefs before we start rolling.
01:44Mount Fumas mission set is a little more unique when it comes to running convoys compared to the other
01:48in the midst of the wings because we have to transit through one of our busiest city streets
01:52where we're trying to go to some of our sites. This is a built-in challenge for our defenders when
01:57it comes to the planning phase. Despite the challenges that we face within our environments,
02:02our defenders take this job seriously. They take pride in what they do. When we're not running missions,
02:07the team's training. They're going through the driver training. They're rotating through positions
02:10within the trucks so that they're familiar with what everybody's role is in the event that they have to
02:15take over for whatever reason it is and that we can still carry on the mission. Making sure that
02:19these assets are getting from one location to another in a safe manner to provide our nation with that
02:26nuclear deterrence.
