00:00You know, you and I had a conversation.
00:02I just was reminded of it.
00:04This was about, I would say, about six years ago.
00:07And we always looked at the Chargers as being, oh, yeah,
00:11the team from San Diego is now back in L.A. again.
00:15Has that transition gone a little better for them over the last couple of years?
00:19Has it now been a little more easier for Los Angeles sports fans
00:23to embrace the Chargers?
00:25Because it was a tough putt at the beginning of them going back to L.A.
00:30So, Dan, the tough thing for them, and we just touched on it,
00:33is what the Rams are doing.
00:35So while the Chargers have Jim Harbaugh and Justin Herbert
00:39and they've brought in Mike McDaniel,
00:41and normally you would be excited about that.
00:44It has been dwarfed by the Rams.
00:47I mean, no one's talking about the Chargers.
00:50And the other thing that really hurts them,
00:51and the folks in San Diego, you know, unfortunately saw this,
00:55you know, if they have a good season and then they get into the playoffs
00:58and then they have a dud of a postseason game, that's the issue.
01:01The Chargers have sort of been lumped in with the Clippers here in Los Angeles.
01:06So as much as I think that they're going to be a good team then,
01:09I think they might win 10 games, I think they're going to be a playoff team,
01:12you're in the city with the Los Angeles Rams,
01:15who are the biggest favorites, according to Vegas,
01:18to win the Super Bowl that we've had in years.
01:21So it doesn't really, I don't want to say it doesn't matter what they do,
01:24but they're in Los Angeles with the Rams.
01:27So, Dan, I don't think a lot has changed in the six years that we've been talking about.
01:31The Chargers in Los Angeles, they have not moved the needle here.
01:37I got to tell you what will move the needle in the next couple of years here.
01:41This is what we're going to have in L.A., ready?
01:43You're going to have the Super Bowl and you're going to have the Olympics.
01:46I mean, this has got to be one of the most energizing times in Los Angeles
01:50for sports across the board because Super Bowl is around the corner
01:54and so are the Olympic Games.
01:56I mean, Dan, the way that we hosted the World Cup as well,
02:00I think everyone who came to those World Cup games had such a great time.
02:04And to your point, you know, World Cup, Super Bowl, the Olympics.
02:08I mean, again, we were in such a great time in Los Angeles.
02:11I loop in San Diego with that because I just think it's a great train ride.
02:15So I always tell folks, what a great time to be in Southern California.
02:19Again, sports with the Dodgers and the Lakers and the Padres and all that.
02:24But to your point, these generational events.
02:26So, so excited for the upcoming Super Bowl this year, but then also the Olympics.
02:31And again, by the way, swimming, Dan, I think you know this,
02:34but swimming will be at SoFi Stadium.
02:37How cool is that?
02:38Oh, my God.
02:40No, no, I've been to SoFi and I live in Southern California too.
02:44And I got to tell you, like you said, it's going to be like looped in
02:47throughout the entire next seven, eight months here because we got the Super Bowl
02:52coming around and we've got the Olympic Games coming around.
02:55And coming off the World Cup, as you said, that was an electric event there at SoFi.
