00:32Onward, which currently sits at 86% on Rotten Tomatoes, will expand to over 4,200 theaters,
00:37including 400 IMAX screens, 800 premium large format screens, and 2,300 3D locations.
00:44The animation studio's last installment, Toy Story 4, earned $12 million in preview grosses,
00:49which was the second highest Thursday night box office gross for an animated movie,
00:52behind Pixar title The Incredibles 2, with $18.5 million.
00:55Also opening this weekend is Warner Bros. adult drama The Way Back,
00:59starring Ben Affleck as a former basketball all-star struggling with the loss of his wife,
01:03and addiction as he attempts to make a comeback by becoming the coach of his alma mater's
01:07high school basketball team. Elsewhere, opening an unlimited release is A24's first cow,
01:11while holdovers at the national box office include Universal and Blumhouse's The Invisible Man,
01:15heading into its second weekend.
