00:03It feels like a bar fight. I mean, you know, I don't know, are they drunk? Like, why are they

00:10There's a huge amount of ego going on here.
00:14Trump had tariff wars on everybody, but this really escalated the size of the tariffs, the size of the rhetoric.
00:21But what's really different here is the U.S. has all the cards here.
00:26I mean, it's going to hurt Americans, and Carney's being very smart about how he's crafting his retaliation.
00:33He knows there are border states in play at the election, Maine, Michigan, Ohio.
00:40And those are the states that trade the most with Canada.
00:45That's not so surprising. You know, you don't have to ship things very far.
00:48There are lots of things like cars where they put in parts on one side, ship it to the other
00:53side, ship it back.
00:54It's very interlinked. So there's some vulnerability there, but nothing compared to Canada.
00:59Canada, I don't know the exact numbers, like two-thirds of its exports are to the United States.
01:06And, okay, Canada is important to us, but we could live without it.
01:10So in some sense, if Trump really takes them to the mat, Canada is going to suffer mightily.
01:17But I think a lot of Canadians say, go for it.
01:22We have to stand up on principle. We're a great country.
01:25We don't want to be the 51st state.
01:27And if you kowtow, you know, that could happen.
01:30So it's very popular so far what Carney's doing.
