05:00Miami, depending on traffic, so you can easily get here from downtown or the central part
05:06of Miami.
05:07If you do take the big bus tour, Wynwood is also part of one of those stops, so it makes
05:12it easy for you.
05:13Just be ready to take a lot of pictures of all the street art.
05:16Now here we are at the Frost Science Museum.
05:19This museum has the aquarium, the Frost Planetarium, and if you want an adult ticket, it's $32.95.
05:26Youth ages 4-11 is $24.95.
05:28Children 3 and under are free.
05:31And it's really an exhibit for children, so if you're an adult with no kids, you may
05:36not want to go here.
05:37But if you do have the kids, this is definitely a place to add to your list.
05:41And then if you go right next door, you have the Perez Art Museum, which is another really
05:46interesting museum right in the same area.
05:49This one here is free.
05:51Now it may change depending on if they have an exhibition or some sort of exhibit, but
05:56to just go inside.
05:58You don't have to pay anything.
05:59So that's good news, right?
06:01The type of art you're going to find here is mostly local artists who are trying to capture
06:05the culture and the feeling and the vibes of Miami.
06:09So you'll see that all across this museum.
06:11It is two levels, so don't miss the upstairs level while you're here.
06:15I would say spend around an hour or two here just walking around, relaxing and enjoying
06:22the free activity.
06:24When it comes to transportation, they do have the people mover here.
06:27It's not as popular as most cities' metro systems, although people still do use it and
06:33it can be convenient at times.
06:35All right, now let's head over towards downtown Miami, also known as Brickell.
06:39So this is the financial or the commercial center of downtown Miami.
06:43You're going to notice they have many different restaurants, a really nice mall.
06:48I like to come down here in the evening time when it's not so hot, walk around and grab
06:52a bite to eat.
06:53Now we're here at the Miami River Walk.
06:55This is actually a nice walk that you can do, exercise, jog.
06:59This is a place where people do end up hanging out in the evening times, in the mornings.
07:05Obviously in the afternoon in Miami, it gets very hot.
07:08You will see a lot of boat traffic headed out into Biscayne Bay.
07:12And here we are now at Viscaya Gardens.
07:15Now, the Viscaya Gardens is definitely one of my favorite botanical garden areas in all
07:20of Florida, so I highly recommend this place.
07:22Adult tickets are $25, children 6 to 12 are $10, and then children under 5 are free.
07:28If you get a chance, go out here.
07:30It's in between Coral Gables and downtown Miami, so it's not too far away from any of the hubs.
07:35It's formerly known as Villa Viscaya.
07:37It was actually developed by businessman James Deering and Deering McCormick International
07:42Harvester Fortune, for those of you who are curious.
07:46Now it sits on Biscayne Bay, and it's a Mediterranean-style house.
07:52It kind of reminds you of the Italian Renaissance Gardens or just being there in the Med right
07:57here in South Florida.
07:58The gardens are quite large, and there's a lot of detail that went into building this
08:03place.
08:04Also, the inside of the mansion is very good air conditioning, by the way, so outside might
08:11be hot, but inside the mansion, beautiful sights and very cool climate.
08:18So, now here we are at Cocoa Walk right out here in Coral Gables.
08:22So the Cocoa Walk area is an outdoor mall, but if you just walk around the outside of the
08:27mall, you'll see there's plenty of restaurants and people out, hanging out.
08:32Come down here on a weekend around 1 in the afternoon, and you'll definitely find some action.
08:37It's the heart of Coral Gables, I would say, right here along Coconut Grove.
08:44Now, here we are in Little Havana.
08:46Little Havana is probably one of the most famous places to hang out in all of Miami, and for
08:52good reason.
08:53When you come down here, you'll see lots of culture, lots of music.
08:57There's plenty of live bands playing, even in the daytime, but nighttime is when this
09:01place really takes on a vibe of its own.
09:04But daytime, around 12 o'clock, starts off very nice as well, although, like I said,
09:11sunset, really a good time to be down here.
09:13Mostly because of the weather, but also because of the nightlife that you'll find here.
09:17If you wanted to try Cuban style cigars, you're not going to get the exact Cuban cigar, but
09:22you'll get Cuban style cigars because there's a lot of cigar shops, Cuban sandwiches, plenty
09:28of those around here, plenty of Cuban restaurants, lots of the Cuban music, and Cuban culture
09:34and people that makes you feel like you're in Cuba.
09:37Actually, after this, I always feel like I want to go down to Cuba.
09:41One of my favorite things to do when I'm down here is get a haircut.
09:45Also people like to take pictures with all of the street art, as you can see.
09:58The famous road down here is Calle Ocho.
10:01That's the 8th Street Road.
10:03See the Cuban Walk of Fame and then Domino Park, where people are playing dominoes into
10:09the afternoon and evening hours.
10:11And as we continue to show you around Miami, I want to give you guys some more information.
10:15But first, before I do that, I want to encourage you guys to subscribe to this channel, like
10:20the video if you enjoy content like this, as we continue to show you around Latin America.
10:25After all, Miami is considered the capital of Latin America, even though it's in the United
10:29States.
10:29Some things to consider when you're coming to Miami, take advantage of the amazing cuisine.
10:34Also bring some nice clothes to get dressed up at night, maybe do some dancing.
10:39Don't forget the beach wear though, because obviously many different beaches.
10:42But avoid eating out on Ocean Drive if you can, because you will save more money.
10:49It does get quite expensive down there.
10:51When it comes to transportation, I recommend using Uber or Lyft.
10:56I found that to be the best way to get around.
10:58Sure you can rent a car, but after you factor in all of the costs with car rental, insurance,
11:03and then parking the vehicle in some congested areas.
11:07Now here we are at Biscayne Key.
11:10Biscayne Key is more of a laid back type of beach.
11:13If you're looking for something a little bit different than South Beach or Miami Beach,
11:18I recommend coming down here.
11:20The beach isn't going to be as good and there's not going to be as much nightlife as there
11:24is on Ocean Drive, but it's still a very laid back experience.
11:28So if you're looking for a chilled beach right there in the south part of Miami, come on
11:33out here to Biscayne Key.
11:35And wherever you're at in Miami, water sports are going to be available, including out here
11:39on Biscayne Key.
11:40But if you go down towards South Beach, Biscayne Bay, you'll find water sport activities, jet
11:45skis, paragliding, windsurfing, lots of activities going on.
11:51Also consider doing a Biscayne Bay tour.
11:53That's something you can get right down there in the waterfront area.
11:59But doing a tour around, you'll see some mansions.
12:02You can either do a daytime tour, like a booze cruise, or you can do the nighttime sunset
12:07tour.
12:08Both are equally good, although the weather is going to be a bit more favorable for the
12:13sunset.
12:14Also near Biscayne Key is going to be the Bill Bags Cape State Park.
12:18This is a nice natural area to walk around, escape the city.
12:21You really will feel like you're in the Everglades almost out here.
12:26Lots of nature.
12:27Plenty of iguanas, I noticed, some birds.
12:30Another popular activity from Miami is going towards the Bahamas.
12:33It's actually quite close.
12:34It's about 110 miles away from Nassau, but you can easily go to Bimini or Freeport.
12:41They have ferries that leave out of Fort Lauderdale or some other parts of Miami you can check
12:47on.
12:47Now, while in Miami, you can also look into doing some dance lessons if you're interested.
12:52They have salsa dancing, flamenco, other types of Latino style dancing lessons can be had
12:58here.
12:58Now, let's talk about the Sunny Isles.
13:00This is just north of Miami, south of Fort Lauderdale, kind of nearby Hollywood Beach.
13:05But again, a nice area for white sand beaches.
13:09And when it comes to local cuisine, you'll find plenty of Cuban sandwiches, other types of
13:13Cuban cuisine.
13:14Lots of Italian foods.
13:16I found there would be plenty of Mexican options.
13:18I was always eating tacos in Miami.
13:21Some of the best burger restaurants are here as well, getting some barbecue.
13:25So Miami's got a lot of Latin infusion with some Italian and Spanish style.
13:31Also, it's an international city, so you're going to find plenty of other international
13:35cuisines, Indian and Asian foods.
13:36And that's a wrap from Miami.
13:38If you enjoyed this one, please watch our Bahamas travel guide or the Cayman Islands next.
13:44See you on the next one.
13:45Thank you.
