00:00Hi Bali Interiors, my name is Angela. Welcome to Mazzari Villas. Come and take a
00:05peek in our paradise. I'm the founder and director of Mazzari Villas. So Mazzari
00:20Villas started with a 15 villa complex, the complex that we're in right now. So
00:25let me take you around and this is a two-bedroom villa. Some of the villas
00:29have different features. For example, this is the only villa that comes with a
00:33teak wood countertop. One of the things the villas have in common is that they
00:38have this like open plan from the kitchen to the dining to the sunken lounge
00:43with the glass doors looking into a beautiful garden and the pool. All the
00:48villas are fully equipped. Decorate them and fit them out with details that
00:53would make it feel like staying here is an experience. Even like on the kitchen
00:59counter, the kitchen cabinet, and also in the sunken lounge, we really wanted a
01:05guest to walk in and feel like, wow.
01:18This sunken lounge we imagined to be a very cozy social space. You can imagine if my friends
01:26gathering, watching TV, but also within like easy reach of the dining and the kitchen area. So it's one long
01:35social space. Okay, now let me show you upstairs on the top floor. The first thing
01:43you see is this smaller lounge space with the art and decor, which was actually
01:49specifically and tailor-made for for this complex by a very talented artist. But
01:55let's look at the two bedrooms.
02:09So all the bedrooms at Mazzari villas open up to a balcony and they all feel very intimate. Even within
02:17the
02:17within the villa itself, each bedroom is contained with a beautiful bathroom behind. If I can show you that as
02:25a
02:31one thing that the bathrooms have is the skylights on the top to let in lots of
02:36natural light. In the shower, that is a feature of all the villas. We use like
02:43finishing on the wall to bring it to for that white feeling, but also very functional. This
02:50specific villa uses terrazzo, but in other villas we use engineered stone imported from from China. But
02:59in terms of the woods, everywhere you see are all solid teakwoods. So they have a way to them. So
03:05we
03:05really want the villa to feel premium, even in the way you, you know, you touch and feel things. And
03:12also in
03:13the setup of the villa to make sure it's welcoming and that you have everything you need for this to
03:18feel like a home.
03:24And this is the private balcony for this bedroom. So we make them all pretty spacious.
03:30You have the swing bed, the view to the pool and the landscaping.
03:43This is the master bedroom. And then the key feature of a master bedrooms is the built-in
03:48bed base. All our beds are king size. Well, this one is built-in even with the bedside tables.
03:53You can see the arch features on either side and defining the head and the bed head.
04:04The master bathroom has a lot of features. With this defining arch, each villa has its own statement.
04:11So we wanted the master bathroom to feel really romantic with details like the hanging light feature,
04:19the oval mirror, the bathtub with the hanging curtains and the chandelier. And if you look behind the
04:27bathtub, there are arch details for candles and generally just the beautiful romantic setting.
04:36Let me show you the outdoor spaces.
04:47In the outdoor space, there's quite a few signatures. The main thing has to be this beautiful big pool
04:53with a lot of space to making it feel really open and expansive. And then we have this beautiful
05:01landscaping, even with the green and spacing. And this landscaping, we took inspiration from
05:07a bit of Japanese to create something unique with the outdoor shower being a signature piece right at
05:15the center. And of course, you have this big cabana. So a place to relax and enjoy the pool.
05:26So one of my favorite features about this villa is actually hidden. Let me show you.
05:37It's a secret dining spot with its own mini haven and a garden. But I really like that this is
05:44like
05:44a hidden meadow. So in dry season, the flowers bloom, the bog and fields blooming and you have a lovely
05:52smell. Whether you're relaxing here in the morning, listening to the birds chirp, or relaxing here at
05:58sunset, reading the book, having a nice quiet dinner.
06:04Okay, I have one more spot to show you. Come have a look.
06:12The last outdoor space is this mezzanine rooftop area. So pretty large and spacious together with
06:19quite a few friends, have some cocktail drinks, have your barbecue and just relax and enjoy each
06:25other company with this view right behind us.
06:40We wanted Mazzari Villas to feel very welcoming but also be aesthetically functional.
06:48But underpinning that, we wanted to have the essence of sustainability. And the way we've done this,
06:55we're retaining the aesthetics but also incorporating sustainability. We use a lot of natural materials
07:02and we also focus on energy efficiency. So solar panels are not enough, but in the way that we manage
07:08and use electricity from how we power the pools to the appliances indoors.
07:17So the good thing with Mazzari Villas is the land is naturally sloping. So we can have the villas on
07:23a
07:23stepwise arrangement so that each of them still have a view. But also the way we use landscaping.
07:31We use a mixture of naturally existing landscaping and also incorporated landscaping so that each villa
07:37has a beautiful green view. The villas are obviously Mediterranean theme but blended with the tropical landscaping.
07:48Bali is one of the extreme climates from harsh sun to extremely heavy rainy seasons. So in the design
07:57we incorporated a lot of canopy. You can see that all the bedrooms also have balconies to provide a little
08:04bit of an overhang between the bedrooms and also the weather, whether it's harsh storm or rainy season.
08:17So all the villa types are different but one thing that we have that they all have in common is
08:23ample,
08:24lots of outdoor spacing. We really wanted to have a seamless indoor to outdoor living.
08:36We've taken inspiration from properties that I've liked from all over the world. You know, Europe,
08:43specifically Greece, was a big inspiration. But we also modified to fit the environment and to
08:51complement the beautiful aspects of being on this island, especially the landscaping. Building was
08:57very challenging. But we have a great team and paying attention to detail is key and holding your ground
09:07on when you want things to be repeated is equally as important. I would develop again from Mazari. I've
09:13learned so much and more importantly I've surrounded myself with a great team. We're already doing a
09:19second development called Savara by Mazari Villas and already that process is significantly
09:26less challenging. Of course it's not, it's never easy. Less challenging than Mazari because we've taken a
09:31lot of lessons learned from Mazari. So yes, I will do it again and I'm so grateful for the team
09:37I have
09:37supporting with them.
09:47Thank you Valley Interiors for taking a peek in a paradise. See you next time!
09:54I'll see you next time!
