00:00Camp and Fleury Branch Pennix was 4 of 8 when he returned to 11 on 11 work.
00:05Tua was 0 for 3 and was with ones in scout teamwork.
00:08And here is Kevin Stefanski breaking down how this week is going to go.
00:12We'll treat this like a regular season schedule and covered that with the players this morning.
00:17So we'll be into our regular season work.
00:19So, for instance, today is Wednesday to us and our players.
00:23And I want them to get a feel for what the meetings are like during the regular season,
00:27what the practice schedule is like.
00:30We'll give them some game plan stuff on Miami, do some work on Miami.
00:35Now, there's a bunch of stuff that you'll install on offense, defense, and special teams for this game
00:40that you won't show in the game.
00:41But I want the guys to get used to, hey, here's a game plan.
00:43Here's a new concept.
00:45Here's a new pressure.
00:46Here's a new coverage that we're running.
00:48We're going to practice it the next few days.
00:50And just get the rhythm of that's what happens in the season.
00:53That's interesting, man.
00:55There's a couple tidbits in there that are...
00:58I would love to know what those are.
01:00You know what I mean?
01:01He's like, there's things we've installed, but we're not going to run in the preseason.
01:04But we would install them.
01:05Okay, cool.
01:06I'd love to know what that is because that's going to be really interesting stuff.
01:09And yeah, this is always that point in the year where these guys kind of break camp a little bit
01:13or get to move home.
01:14And all of a sudden, that schedule becomes more like you want to practice throughout the year.
01:19So it's intriguing days as a guy in that locker room.
01:23I don't know where the excerpt came from.
01:27I guess someone wrote an article.
01:28And everybody has an article or a blog these days that somebody wrote something about,
01:33oh, they've cut off access to some of our reporters.
01:37And it hasn't been this way all year.
01:38And it's clearly, you know, they don't want Penix to, if he looks bad,
01:43they don't want people to be able to record it or whatever.
01:46And I tweeted and was like, well, not down to, as a conspiracy theorist,
01:54it's really probably just the fact that it's a regular season type atmosphere,
01:59the way they're treating it.
02:00It's a dry run for what a regular season practice would be.
02:03And then I hadn't even known that I had not heard that cut about Stefanski
02:07saying they were actually installing stuff that they were probably going to use
02:10in season, which kind of changes it and just shows you that they're really trying
02:15to make this as dress rehearsal as they can for the regular season.
02:21And I like the fact that they're doing that.
02:23It's been one of our biggest complaints about the last two head coaches here
02:28that they just did not want to do any preseason.
02:30It felt like the preseason work in the week leading to and in the game
02:35seemed to be a lot more lax, you know?
02:40Yeah.
02:40I would imagine in these pressers with Kevin Stefanski going from last year to this year,
02:46the media has to change up how they approach a little bit differently
02:50because they are trying to get so much information out of Kevin Stefanski,
02:53but he is tight-lipped.
02:54He will not speculate on whether Michael Penix will start week one or not.
02:58Sure.
02:59I can't speculate on those type of things.
03:02I want to really stay today with Mike and see how he does in practice.
03:07That's where I'll keep my focus.
03:09What percentage of this decision do we think is Kevin Stefanski's?
03:15Like is it three-quarters his decision?
03:18Is it 50% his decision?
03:21Is it 100%?
03:22I don't know.
03:23I was thrown that question by somebody yesterday,
03:26and they were saying this is Matt Ryan's decision.
03:28I'm like, absolutely not.
03:29Matt's not going to go that far.
03:32Now, do I think that he'll be a sounding board?
03:34Yes.
03:36And then it was, well, it needs to be an organizational decision
03:39because this has a lot to do with the future of the organization
03:41and draft picks and everything else, and I understand that.
03:45I'm not saying that there's not input from other places,
03:47but I would have to imagine that three-quarters of this decision at least
03:50is going to be Kevin Stefanski.
03:52I'm not sure why people think that it's his decision that is just now BMA.
03:58And I go back to – it's twofold for me.
04:03For one, I think that they sat down way, way before training camp
04:09and had organizational meetings, and they talked about what Matt was a part of.
04:13His decision, no, but he was a part of the conversation.
04:16I don't believe that anything right now is being, I'm going to make this decision
04:21and then you make this decision.
04:23It kind of all leads to what we heard the problem was years ago or last year
04:28and years leading into last year where it was like there was no real –
04:35like everybody was on their own page,
04:37and there was not one thought process for the organization as a whole.
04:44I believe they sat down and said, you know, here's what we're going to look at
04:47and here's how we're going to handle this.
04:51And basically, Tua did nothing to make you go with plan B.
04:57I think they had plan A and plan B, and Tua didn't change it.
05:00And so I think plan A was always to get Michael Penix healthy,
05:06and then if he comes out and plays wonderful, we'll start the season with him.
05:09We're going to make this decision.
05:09We're going to make this decision.
05:09We're going to make this decision.
05:09We're going to make this decision.
05:10We're going to make this decision.
