00:09To modernize the power substation nowadays, it's very, very important to consider cybersecurity, obviously, but also the way to integrate
00:20different ways to produce energy, especially coming from renewables.
00:23You also need to be prepared to visualize as much as possible different kind of assets within a power substation,
00:32bringing always the same level of reliability and robustness.
00:38So, having said that, you need a solid manufacturer which is able to provide that kind of solution portfolio and
00:48have the knowledge to support you for a design perspective.
00:52That's why with MOXA, we are able to do so, so you are strongly engaged to recommend it to visit
00:59our booth, and you're going to be welcome with many, many, many skilled people, and we're going to support you.
01:06I'm pretty sure about that.
01:16For Thailand, we have the goal, the climate goal, to achieve net zero by 2050.
01:24And also, we have to maintain our strength in terms of competitiveness in the world market.
01:30So, we have to do a few things.
01:32First, we have to scale up the renewable capacity, the wind and solar power.
01:37And also, we need to strengthen our grid.
01:40We have to make it more flexible.
01:42We need to add more energy storage, as well as have all these technologies like stat-com, synchronizing generator and
01:55compressor.
01:56In terms of regulation, we have to do regulatory reform in order to have more players into the power market.
02:06We have to do the third party access and also liberalizing the power businesses.
02:13Most importantly, we need to do international collaboration, especially on the regional integration, the ASEAN power grid, for example.
02:20So, we have to be more connected to everyone around the neighboring countries. Thank you very much.
02:37My advice would be be curious, get involved, and don't be afraid to take responsibility early.
02:42The energy sector is going to the most transformational times in its history,
02:46and right now is the best time to get involved and help us build the future of our power systems.
02:52And you don't have to know everything.
02:53That's why CIGRE exists, to give you access to world-class knowledge and to connect you with senior experts worldwide.
03:01And also, don't wait for an opportunity.
03:04Get involved, propose a project, propose an initiative, and us, through our Next Generation Network program,
03:10we help you to be connected with young professionals worldwide.
03:14So, the future of our power systems is being built right now.
03:18Get involved, be part of CIGRE.
03:25What is the future of CIGRE?
03:29This is a good question, because when it was initiated in 1921, CIGRE was just a conference,
03:37and its name was standing for Conférence Internationale des Grands Réseaux Electriques,
03:43which meant, in English, International Conference on Large Electric Systems.
03:48Ten years later, in 1933, it became an association ruled by the French law on non-for-profit associations.
03:56But the name gave the impression that it was still only a conference.
04:01However, CIGRE was already organizing joint activities between experts, working groups, study committees, and not only conferences.
04:13This was recognized in 2000, when CIGRE's name was changed into Le Conseil Internationale des Grands Réseaux Electriques,
04:23which, for the French, was a change in names, in gender.
04:27But in English, it was International Council on Large Electric Systems.
04:31Since then, CIGRE has still continued to facilitate the exchange of knowledge between its members in two ways.
04:41The first was like this session, organizing events,
04:45and the second was by facilitating collaboration in between events,
04:50by consolidating and disseminating the knowledge gained and shared during these sessions.
05:06So, power systems, we typically think from a transmission perspective,
05:11that's not longer the thing how we should go down the road.
05:14It's much more important that we have to think about how to integrate distribution in the right way.
05:20That goes far beyond the today's limitations we see, especially within the technology.
05:27So, technologies will require that we integrate a distribution grid into a one grid approach,
05:37and that is also the right step forward, and that's what we have started here.
