00:15The transition energy and the electrification of the usage
00:19strengthen the needs in flexibility for the electrical system.
00:23And for years, the users of the electrical system
00:26have been able to pay attention to the users
00:28to provide flexibility and respond to their needs.
00:32And today, we face a very rapid movement
00:35with an acceleration of the time of projects
00:38which makes this paradigm no longer.
00:41It is therefore important that the users of the electrical system
00:45don't have transparency on the needs for the electrical system
00:49but also find formats to contractualize the services

00:55and verify that the services are well provided.
00:58And so, with my study committee,
00:59it's five on the electricity market and regulation.
01:02We work to observe the models
01:05that are put in place in the world
01:06and then we compare them
01:08to find the best recipes and solve these challenges.
01:20CIGRE is organized geographically through national committees
01:23and thematically through study committees,
01:2616 of them covering all the domains of the electric system.
01:30And the study committee is oversighting and organizing
01:34all the technical activities
01:35which is actually performed in the working groups.
01:38Working groups are organized by each study committee
01:41with experts, possibly with the highest geographical
01:45and topology of companies' diversification.
01:50The members of study committees are nominated every two years
01:54by each national committee
01:56but you can also be involved in the working groups
02:00bringing your expertise and learning from the expertise of the others.
02:03Working groups normally study the state of the art
02:06of some specific topics and issues
02:09and propose advancements for these topics.
02:13If you know somebody already within CIGRE organization,
02:18already a member, you can ask them
02:19or you can just look at the website of your national committee
02:23expressing your willingness to contribute with your expertise.

02:39The CIGRE Innovation and Education Fund was born from the success of CIGRE.
02:45It started in the 2024 Paris Session, which was record-breaking
02:49and now in 2026 Paris Session, we are breaking the records we had before.
02:55And that success will seed the fund, but also the partnership we will have with donors
03:01in order to seed the projects that the fund will create.
03:04And the strategy of CIGRE is the reason why this fund exists.
03:09We want to expand the strategy of CIGRE
03:11and its mission for the energy transition.
03:16I'm very proud as treasurer, after six years we survived COVID
03:21and we got to a success story that created the CIGRE Innovation and Education Fund.
03:43So one piece of advice which is incredibly important for a young professional
03:47is to broaden your expertise.
03:49So for example, within CIGRE there are the 16 study committees
03:52so it gives you the opportunity to expand your knowledge, your expertise
03:56and knowledge share from key experts in that field.
03:59Also if you're not familiar with certain areas,
04:02CIGRE gives you the opportunity to branch out and get more familiar with different areas
04:06and new technologies being deployed.
04:09Another key piece of advice which was shared with me when I joined industry
04:12was to broaden your network.
04:14So when I joined the industry back in 2019 with my company AirGrid, the Irish TSO,
04:19I was strongly encouraged to participate in CIGRE to broaden my network.
04:25And that meant that to learn from others, create a network of young professionals
04:29and even senior professionals to learn from.
04:33So within NGN we have a community of over 45 countries internationally
04:38and that's a fantastic enabler for young professionals to tap into and learn from others.
04:43So really encourage any young professional to get involved with NGN and CIGRE
04:48as there's fantastic enablers and levers to manage your career and broaden your network
04:53which you'll see the fruits of it in over the coming years.
05:05One of the biggest challenges is the gap between the rapidly increasing power demand
05:13and the time required to build conventional substations.
05:20The rise of new roads, electrification, AI-driven industry
05:25and the integrations of renewable energy.
05:28All this brings high pressure, unprecedented pressure to the power grid
05:35and the power infrastructure.
05:37In most cases, the problems and constraints are no longer power generations.
05:44It's how quickly the substations can be built,
05:48how quickly the power infrastructures can be built up.
05:53This is the T-Good can contribute and make a difference.
05:56Through our prefab substations and system integrations
06:01we can provide a very quickly solution for our customers to build up the substations.
06:07From this perspective, we are able to make disrupt changes in the industry
06:14and provide the solutions for our customers for energy transitions.
06:26To the extent that you're in general, the most notable nations are in the industry
06:26and the opportunity to come up with the power of the smartass that you can be used to improve
06:26with the kind of support of the power of the smartass that you can build the energy
