00:00What is it? What's wrong, sister?
00:02Don't be frightened!
00:04Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're looking at the biggest stinkers from the odd's decade.
00:08We haven't included so bad their good films like The Room, even if their awfulness did tear viewers apart.
00:14You are tearing me apart, Lisa!
00:18Number 30, The Happening.
00:19This is scary, huh?
00:21Alright, let's hear some theories about why this might be happening.
00:24How many sci-fi horrors can you think of that ponder over why hot dogs get a bad rap?
00:29You know, hot dogs get a bad rap.
00:31They got a cool shape, they got protein.
00:34You like hot dogs, right?
00:36For some reason, M. Night Shyamalan asked that question in an R-rated thriller about nature striking back.
00:42Upon its announcement, expectations were understandably high.
00:45Unfortunately, The Happening became famous for all the wrong reasons.
00:48Hey, guys.
00:53Nothing.
00:54The film does deliver some shocking moments, as people succumb to the mysterious airborne threat.
00:59But they're overshadowed by unintentionally hilarious scenes, and an overly melodramatic tone that never quite lands.
01:05Talking to a plastic plant.
01:07Between the infamous conversations with plants, and Mark Wahlberg being stuck with one expression,
01:12The Happening has earned a reputation as one of the decade's most unintentionally funny disasters.
01:17What?
01:18No!
01:19Number 29, Year One.
01:21I think I have to wash my hair.
01:24You washed your hair last year!
01:26Silliness can be endearing, but generally, in small doses.
01:30On paper, a prehistoric comedy starring Jack Black and Michael Cera sounds like a winning formula.
01:34In practice, Year One squanders its talented cast on a string of juvenile gags, flat jokes, and an absolutely meandering
01:41story.
01:42Following two clueless hunter-gatherers as they stumble through biblical history, the film throws plenty of familiar faces onto the
01:48screen,
01:48Including Olivia Wilde, David Cross, Paul Rudd, and Hank Azaria.
01:52Unfortunately, the laughs are few and far between, with much of the humor relying on crude punchlines and predictable parody.
01:58Now I'm hanging upside down.
02:00I don't really have to pee.
02:01So if you're looking for any real laughs, you're better off just skipping to the end credits for the film's
02:05gag reel.
02:06It was a game of chance, and he hit his head, and he d***s up.
02:10Number 28, One Missed Call.
02:18When the scariest thing about your film is just the poster, you know you haven't done something right.
02:23Remaking a beloved J-horror film is always a risky proposition, and One Missed Call quickly became a textbook example
02:29of how not to do it.
02:30The story follows a group of college students who receive voicemails predicting the exact moment of their deaths.
02:39A creepy premise may be buried somewhere here, but viewers have to uncover it beneath lifeless scares, bland characters, and
02:46a formulaic script.
02:47Shannon Sossaman does what she can as the film's determined heroine, but even she can't inject much life into the
02:52proceedings.
02:52Relying on loud jump scares instead of genuine suspense, the remake strips away the eerie atmosphere that made Takashi Miike's
02:59original so unsettling.
03:01Who was it?
03:03When it was a funeral.
03:05It sucked.
03:07Number 27, The Love Guru.
03:13Fans are always up for another Shrek, Austin Powers, or even a Wayne's World sequel.
03:17But you'll probably have to search far and wide for someone clamoring for another Love Guru film.
03:22Well, there is someone I like.
03:24But until I learn to love myself, I can only go out with three girls named Anne.
03:28Three girls named Anne?
03:30Yeah.
03:31Anne Visible, Anne Flatable, and Anne Job.
03:35Mike Myers stars as a self-help guru, Pitka, who's hired to reunite a star hockey player with his estranged
03:41wife before the playoffs.
03:42Despite an ensemble that includes Jessica Alba, Justin Timberlake, Vern Troyer, and Ben Kingsley, the film struggles under a barrage
03:49of silly jokes, awkward innuendo, and one-note gags that quickly wear out their welcome.
03:54What was meant to launch another iconic Myers character, instead became one of the biggest critical and commercial disappointments of
04:00his career, effectively bringing his run as a live-action comedy superstar to a screeching halt.
04:04What's the camera on Thailand?
04:06Bangkok?
04:07Exactly.
04:08Oh!
04:09Oh, my Sharif, my balls!
04:12Number 26, Epic Movie.
04:18Listen up, y'all, cause this is it.
04:22Spoof movies had their own foot in the market during the aughts, but if there was one comedy that kicked
04:27off the genre's collapse, it was Epic Movie.
04:35This scattershot parody throws together everything from Narnia and Harry Potter to Pirates of the Caribbean and X-Men, mistaking
04:42endless pop culture references for actual jokes.
04:44Oh, you already know.
04:47Yeah, I'm all close.
04:49What you waiting for?
04:51Rather than clever satire, audiences are treated to crude humor, random celebrity cameos, and gross-out gags.
04:57Unfortunately, it was only the beginning.
05:00The film's modest box office success paved the way for more Friedberg and seltzer spoofs, like Meet the Spartans and
05:05Disaster Movie,
05:06ushering an era of parody films that critics and audiences alike are still eager to leave behind.
05:11You want some? Well, here you go.
05:13I like them girls with them curves and them 300-dollar gyms.
05:17They look so good.
05:18Number 25, The Dukes of Hazzard.
05:27Turning a beloved TV series into a hit movie should have been an easy ride, but The Dukes of Hazzard
05:32never gets out of first gear.
05:33Sean William Scott and Johnny Knoxville have an easygoing rapport as Bo and Luke Duke, and the iconic Orange General
05:38Lee still delivers plenty of spectacular car chases and stunt work.
05:42Unfortunately, that's where most of the fun ends.
05:44Just say you're sorry, Luke!
05:46No! We had a good time, and I'm not gonna apologize for that!
05:52Look at it!
05:55Beyond a few entertaining chase sequences, there's little to hold onto.
05:59The comedy comes and goes, the story never builds much momentum, and the characters feel thinner than their TV counterparts.
06:05What should have been a celebration of a beloved franchise instead comes across as a generic mid-2000s studio comedy
06:10wearing the Dukes of Hazzard badge.
06:12Daisy, I think you ought to get up there and sing.
06:14Oh, no. I only sing in the shower.
06:17I'll get the water running.
06:18Think these are the only cinematic train wrecks worth talking about?
06:21Scan the QR code on your screen to join WatchMojo's 24-7 pop culture livestream for more movie rankings, hot
06:27takes, and non-stop entertainment.
06:28We promise you won't find any sharks here.
06:31What's in the bag?
06:32A shark or something?
06:35Number 24, Pinocchio.
06:42Life is Beautiful forever etched Roberto Benigni's name in history, following its overwhelming commercial and Oscar-winning success.
06:49So, how did the then-50-year-old filmmaker follow it up?
06:52By casting himself as a wooden puppet and acting alongside child actors, of course.
06:55Combined with awkward English dubbing in the international release, in a tone that swings wildly between whimsical and bizarre,
07:01the film struggled to connect with audiences outside Italy, which should have been a timeless fairy tale,
07:06instead became one of the most infamous family film misfires.
07:18Incredibly, A-list figures like Robert Downey Jr. and Steven Spielberg have voiced admiration for the movie,
07:23making many question if they saw the same version the rest of us did.
07:30Number 23, Daddy Day Camp.
07:33I hate kids.
07:34Whether you call it Daddy Day Camp or Daddy Day Care 2, the consensus is the same.
07:38This is one bad film.
07:40This standalone follow-up to the Eddie Murphy movie spends less time finding clever laughs
07:44than it does bouncing from one predictable mishap to the next.
07:53Between overcooked slapstick, familiar camp movie cliches,
07:56and a script that never gives its characters much personality,
07:58the adventure quickly runs out of steam.
08:01Who wants chocolate?
08:02Aww.
08:04By the finish line, the big surprise isn't who wins the camp competition,
08:07is that this theatrical sequel feels more like a Saturday afternoon TV movie.
08:11With a 1% Rotten Tomatoes rating,
08:13the bigger mystery is who that one critic was who even liked this movie.
08:16G.I. Joe is turning red!
08:18Someone parted on his head!
08:20G.I. Joe is turning pink!
08:23Someone puked in the kitchen sink!
08:24Number 22, The Wicker Man.
08:27Wow.
08:28The plot thickens.
08:30Didn't even know you had a plot.
08:32No kidding.
08:32We can confidently say that no one ever sat around
08:35imagining what Nicolas Cage would look like in a bear costume.
08:38And yet, the creators behind this disastrous remake made that a reality.
08:42Cage stars as a police officer investigating the disappearance of a young girl
08:46on a secluded island inhabited by a mysterious pagan community.
08:49What begins as a slow-burning mystery
08:51soon spirals into a string of bewildering performances,
08:54bizarre tonal shifts,
08:55and unintentionally hilarious outbursts
08:57that completely undermine the suspense.
08:59Now, why in the hell would you let them do a sick thing like that?
09:03While the original relied on creeping dread and psychological unease,
09:07this remake became an internet punchline
09:09thanks to its endlessly meme-worthy moments
09:11and Cage's increasingly unhinged reactions.
09:13Oh, no! Not the beast!
09:16Not the beast!
09:17Ah!
09:18Sometimes, the scariest thing about a horror remake
09:21is watching it miss the point so spectacularly.
09:24Ah!
09:26Number 21, From Justin to Kelly.
09:28Well?
09:29If he's a big party promoter,
09:32then let's get to partying.
09:35While many awful movies at least find second lives as memes,
09:39this one couldn't even accomplish that.
09:40Capitalizing on the success of American Idol seemed like a no-brainer,
09:43but From Justin to Kelly struck out almost immediately.
09:46Rushing season one finalist Kelly Clarkson and Justin Guarini
09:49into a beachside musical romance,
09:51the film surrounds its talented singers
09:53with a paper-thin story, awkward dialogue,
09:55and sugary pop numbers.
09:57I want to tell you I love you, love you, love you,
10:00but I can't decide.
10:05Even Clarkson has since distanced herself from the project.
10:08In an interview with Us Weekly,
10:09the performer recounted the experience,
10:11saying,
10:11I cried for a solid hour on the phone with the creator of American Idol
10:15and pleaded to be let out of the contract.
10:19So I guess I'll see you at the beach tomorrow.
10:21Okay.
10:22Number 20, Fear.com.
10:25I am waiting for you, Denise.
10:30Legend says anyone who visits this eponymous website
10:33will meet their grisly end in 48 hours.
10:36Come and find out.
10:38As it turns out, the movie itself does the same thing in two,
10:40just from boredom instead of a vengeful ghost.
10:42Despite its intriguing digital setup,
10:44Fear.com is a lifeless affair
10:46devoid of any real scares, thrill, or intrigue.
10:49The one thing that all the victims have in common
10:52is the fear of sight.
10:54That doesn't make any sense.
10:56He wouldn't use the same sight twice.
10:58Who?
10:59The doctor.
11:02Who's the doctor?
11:03The skeleton in my closet.
11:07It's a live cam death sight.
11:09Neither the script nor the actors are up to the caliber needed
11:12to pull off the film's weighty techno ambitions,
11:14which makes the dark twist feel more gratuitous than powerful.
11:17What are you watching?
11:24You seem like you were expecting me.
11:26So, take it from us.
11:28You're better off doomscrolling just about anywhere besides Fear.com.
11:32Number 19.
11:33Street Fighter The Legend of Chun-Li
11:35Everywhere I looked,
11:38there was crime without punishment.
11:42I wanted to do something.
11:44Deep in the vault of horrible video game adaptations
11:46lies a truly mind-boggling gap
11:49for the ages.
11:50Looking at you, Legend of Chun-Li.
11:52This Street Fighter origin story
11:53takes both the street and the fighter
11:56out of its iconic source material.
11:58Chun-Li can try and unleash her iconic spinning bird kick
12:00all she wants.
12:01It won't save this movie from the laughably bad fight choreography.
12:08A Street Fighter movie with bad fight choreography.
12:12No wonder you wear a mask.
12:14I'd hide that face too.
12:16How did they mess that up?
12:18To say nothing of the script, acting, story,
12:22yeah, if you want your Chun-Li fix, just go to an arcade.
12:24Number 18.
12:26Basic Instinct 2
12:27I believe Mr. Amell's behavior is driven by what we might call a risk addiction.
12:32A compulsive need to prove to herself that she can take risks
12:35and survive dangers that other people can't.
12:37A titling tale of carnal desire,
12:39the original Basic Instinct beautifully toed the line between explicit and entertaining.
12:43The same cannot be said for the 2006 sequel.
12:47It spent many long years in development limbo
12:49and you could see every one of them in the muddled script.
12:52What do I owe you?
12:53You don't owe me anything.
12:55But if you'd like to call Dr. Gardash, I'm sure she can help you.
13:00I don't shop around.
13:02Sharon Stone returns as Catherine Trammell
13:04to give more longing stares into the camera.
13:06But clearly, the spark in this relationship has long since died.
13:09At best, Basic Instinct 2 is a pointless rehash of the original.
13:14At worst, it's a laughably over-the-top erotica
13:17more likely to leave you snoring.
13:29Either way, it's worth avoiding like a bad ex.
13:32I guess we're out of time for today.
13:34Number 17.
13:35The Cat in the Hat
13:36Where did you come from?
13:40Hmm, how do I put this?
13:43When a mommy cat and a daddy cat love each other very much,
13:48they decide that...
13:49Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
13:50Ooh, ooh.
13:51Unhinged, crass, absurd.
13:53No, we aren't talking about a horror film.
13:55We're talking about the live-action The Cat in the Hat.
13:58Son of a bitch!
14:01Adapted from Dr. Seuss' beloved children's story
14:04and starring Mike Myers,
14:05this take on the character goes beyond whimsical
14:07into full-on fever dream territory.
14:14It's bright, it's loud,
14:16and it makes absolutely no sense.
14:18The end result is a frantic mess of a film from start to finish.
14:22We'd say only a kid could enjoy it,
14:24but given the overwhelming number of double entendres,
14:26they're probably out of luck, too.
14:28Dirty hoe!
14:31I'm sorry, baby, I love you.
14:34So, who is this made for again?
14:36Are you aware of the senseless wholesale slaughter
14:39of the flatulating acid-spitting Zimzizaru?
14:41Duh.
14:42Number 16.
14:43Freddy Got Fingered.
14:53Co-written by, directed, and starring Tom Green,
14:57this movie follows a slacker named Gord
14:59as he pursues his dream of becoming an animator,
15:01we think.
15:02I'm not really a cop.
15:05My name's Gord,
15:06and I want to meet you to show you my drawings.
15:08Your drawings?
15:10Are you kidding?
15:11Mr. Davidson, I'm an animator.
15:12I've got this show idea I want to pitch to you.
15:14It's a cartoon.
15:15Okay, it's about this cat.
15:16It's got these superpowers that can see through wooden doors.
15:18Honestly, it goes off the rails so fast,
15:21it's hard to even piece together what's happening in Freddy Got Fingered.
15:24Extremely unfortunate name aside,
15:26this movie never rises above eye-rolling potty humor
15:28and gross-out gags.
15:30Oh no, the treasure!
15:31It went into that underwater cave!
15:34Get out of the toilet!
15:37Get out of the toilet!
15:40It certainly evokes a reaction.
15:46It's just usually disgust, incredulity,
15:48or in some cases, both at the same time.
15:50Let's just say, if you don't laugh at the movie's title,
15:53then you're out of luck.
15:54I can't think of anything to draw because I'm so stupid.
15:56I'm so stupid.
15:57I'm so stupid.
15:58I'm so stupid.
15:59I'm so stupid.
16:00I'm so stupid.
16:00I'm so stupid.
16:00I'm so stupid.
16:00I'm so stupid.
16:01I'm so stupid.
16:01That's about as clever as Freddy Got Fingered ever gets.
16:07Number 15, Norbit.
16:09Of course, it was only natural that Rispusha and I would take the next step in our relationship.
16:16I now pronounce you man and wife.
16:21You may kiss the bride.
16:24Do you like Eddie Murphy?
16:26Hope so.
16:27Because Norbit has more of him than you'll need for a long, long time.
16:41He plays not just one, not just two, but three separate characters.
16:46And somehow, they're all mind-numbingly grating in their own special ways.
16:50The worst is Rispusha, a walking, talking stereotype who spends the whole movie attacking your eardrums.
16:55You think I'm playing?
16:56You're in the head right now?
16:57I'm going to tell you legal.
16:58It's not funny.
16:59It's simply annoying.
17:00Since the whole movie hinges on its casting gimmick, Norbit fails as a comedy, a diversion, or even a showcase
17:07of Murphy's talents.
17:08Instead, the only thing it accomplished was flushing his career goodwill straight down the toilet.
17:14Mother of God.
17:16Stop, stop, stop, stop.
17:19Number 14, Swept Away.
17:21That case, if you don't want to eat it, you probably want to wear it.
17:27Now it doesn't look so bad, madam.
17:29Being lost at sea is an apt metaphor for how this whole movie feels.
17:32Madonna may be the undeniable queen of pop, but her work on screen has been decidedly mixed.
17:37Here, she's hopelessly out of her death.
17:40Yes, call me master.
17:41Come on!
17:42Go, go, go, go, go, wash!
17:44Where am I going to find a fucking washing machine on a deserted island?
17:47Especially since Swept Away only works if you bind Amber's change of heart from a spoiled socialite into a loving
17:53romantic partner.
17:54Come over to my house.
17:59I'll give you a day.
18:01I don't want to hear the sound of dirty cats in Alice.
18:04I want singing.
18:05To be fair, Madonna was fighting a losing battle with the script, which robs the original of all its nuance
18:10and gravitas.
18:11Which then begs the question, why even bother remaking Swept Away in the first place?
18:16No one took a bow for this reimagining, that's for sure.
18:18Don't, Pepe.
18:20Why not?
18:21You say you love me.
18:24I want the old truth.
18:25What more proof do you need?
18:27I've never been happier in my life.
18:29Number 13.
18:30I Know Who Killed Me.
18:31I want to quit.
18:33I mean, I barely made my winter admit to Yale.
18:35And I could still blow it.
18:37I just need to concentrate all of my efforts into writing.
18:41But you have a gift.
18:42Someone, or something, killed poor Lindsay Lohan's acting career, and the list of suspects includes this dreadful film.
18:49It could be The Tone, which aims for a grounded mystery thriller, but falls flat on its face.
18:53Oh my god.
18:55Oh my god.
18:57Oh.
18:59Oh.
18:59Or maybe it's the nonsensical plotting, which adds ludicrous twists atop ludicrous twists until the whole thing collapses on itself.
19:06But in actuality, the real problem is that I Know Who Killed Me isn't just all that entertaining.
19:16With Lindsay Lohan's unconvincing performance at the center, escaping from a serial killer has never been so dull.
19:22In a way, we guess that means Lohan killed off her own credibility.
19:31Number 12.
19:32Glitter.
19:37On a stage, Mariah Carey commands an audience like no other.
19:40On screen, though, it's a very different story.
19:43Y'all sing?
19:44Yeah.
19:46Okay.
19:47Dance.
19:47Dance.
19:49I do choreography.
19:50She does some of the choreography.
19:52What do you know?
19:53Everything.
19:54Glitter sees the songbird supreme as down-on-her-luck Billie, trying to make it as a singer in the
19:58cutthroat music industry.
20:00You have amazing gifts, and you gotta use it.
20:02Love, music, and every cliche imaginable follows.
20:05We break down the plot more, but you've literally seen it done a million times before in a million better
20:10movies.
20:10Usually with a better lead actress, too.
20:12Right, nice, nice.
20:14Holy cut!
20:17Cut.
20:18Who called cut?
20:19I called cut.
20:20I called cut.
20:21Carrie was clearly passionate about glitter, having workshopped the film for years, and even wrote the movie's soundtrack.
20:27Want to make some music?
20:29What, are you kidding me?
20:30Great.
20:31I'll, uh, leave you two alone.
20:32Bye, Jack.
20:33Come here.
20:34Come around.
20:35I can't believe this.
20:37Have a seat.
20:38Wait a minute.
20:38Was this your idea?
20:39Because I really didn't believe it when you said you wanted to work together.
20:42Are you kidding me?
20:43Of course.
20:44Of course.
20:45I couldn't wait to get you in here.
20:46We just wish any of that showed in the exceptionally cringey final cut.
21:03Number 11.
21:05Ballistic.
21:05X vs. Sever.
21:07Hello, it's Vin.
21:07I need to speak to Gant.
21:10Yeah?
21:10Robert, what are you doing?
21:12He flew all the way to Europe, and five days later, you sent him home?
21:15Come on, Michael.
21:16Daddy's waiting.
21:17Come on.
21:18You'll be fine, man.
21:19Robert, you bastard.
21:21This wasn't our agreement.
21:23The only thing exploding here is the career of everyone involved.
21:26Well, that and a whole lot of cars.
21:28No, it's not as cool as it sounds.
21:35Most of the runtime is actually spent on poorly choreographed fight scenes between the namesake
21:39agents, X and Sever.
21:41The rest of the plot is basically incomprehensible.
21:43The script was fully rewritten right before filming, and then later edited down to a 90-minute
21:48explosion fest that lacks anything resembling character, tension, or rising action.
21:53I see you found your wife.
22:00You can practically see the haphazard production before your eyes in every scene.
22:04It's a wonder how Lucy Liu and Antonio Banderas ever bounced back.
22:07Take care of your family.
22:15I will.
22:16Number 10, The Fog.
22:18What's going on?
22:24The naughties were notorious for giving us dozens and dozens of subpar horror remakes
22:29and sequels.
22:30Although these films can populate their own worst movies list, The Biggest Defender was
22:34clearly this mess of a film.
22:37Somebody in there!
22:38The Fog is an epic slap in the face to horror legend John Carpenter and his classic ghost
22:43story.
22:43It fails on all grounds as we watch people run away from vapor for 103 minutes.
22:49No, it swallowed us up out here at the station a couple of minutes ago.
22:51It's moving your way.
22:53It's kind of cool, actually.
22:54It doesn't scare you, thrill you, or make you feel any emotion except boredom.
23:02It is literally as interesting as watching Fog roll by.
23:06You've been drinking?
23:08It means you've been weighed in the balance of not wanting.
23:13I'll take that as a yes.
23:15Number 9, Dumb and Dumberer, When Harry Met Lloyd.
23:27There's a golden rule when making a sequel.
23:29Don't mess with the original.
23:31But there's also a second, off-forgotten one.
23:33Never, under any circumstances, recast Jim Carrey.
23:38Now you have to move your peg seven spaces and put your shirt on backwards.
23:42Wow, you really suck at this game.
23:44Somehow, someway, when Harry Met Lloyd strikes out on both accounts.
23:48It takes a very specific vision to make dumb-as-bricks humor work for two hours.
23:52But here, the jokes grow tiresome within the first scene.
23:55Check out that skirt.
23:57I mean, it's so short.
23:57Where's the flood?
23:59And that sweater.
24:00It's so tight, her milk bubbles are popping out.
24:02Who?
24:03Loser.
24:03Oh my gosh, she's not wearing underwear.
24:05Yeah, how dorky is that?
24:06I'm wearing two pair right now.
24:08It's all exacerbated by the very noticeable absence of Jim Carrey,
24:11whose comedic timing might have elevated the thin script into something halfway decent.
24:15You know what?
24:16That's it.
24:17We're through.
24:18You're out of the cool club.
24:20Yeah, the next time church's passing out wedgies, you're not going to get one.
24:23Nuh-uh.
24:25We're done, pal.
24:26Finito.
24:27The end.
24:28Instead, Dumb and Dumber fans are left with a detestable prequel
24:31that dumbs things down in all the wrong ways.
24:34He's right.
24:35We have committed the crime of the century.
24:38We never thanked him for giving us the special needs class.
24:40Number eight, Super Babies, Baby Geniuses 2.
24:44Archie's father could give Archie a bit more attention.
24:47I'm sure he needs that lovey-dovey junk.
24:50Better he learn up front that it's a cold, cruel world.
24:53And you just gotta tough it out on your own.
24:55Heck, I don't need nobody.
24:57Changing diapers and saving the world before nap time is definitely a unique spin on the
25:00superhero genre.
25:01Sadly for this film, unique doesn't mean good.
25:04Who the heck are you?
25:07Your worst nightmare.
25:09A small fry with a big attitude.
25:11Not even close.
25:12Oh my god.
25:13For one, seeing actual toddlers take down bad guys is too uncanny to come off as anything
25:18other than bizarre.
25:19Oh, and the villains?
25:21They're evil Germans led by a comically overblown John Boyd.
25:24Three, two, one.
25:33Look!
25:34There's muggles!
25:36Woohoo!
25:37Yeah, this movie is all kinds of insane.
25:40To the point you can't help but wonder how it ever got made in the first place.
25:43Let alone released in theaters.
25:45Unless you're in diapers too, you'll agree Super Babies is the opposite of heroic.
25:49Every child has power.
25:51All you have to do is believe.
25:53Number 7.
25:55The Adventures of Pluto Nash.
25:56Hey!
25:57Oh!
25:58Oh!
25:59I'm sorry.
25:59I'll get that.
25:59I'm sorry.
26:01Oh.
26:04Sorry.
26:06It's all right.
26:07Very few comedic actors have risen so far only to crash so hard later on.
26:11And The Adventures of Pluto Nash marked the beginning of Eddie Murphy's meteoric decline.
26:16Although as we've seen, Norbit was still to come.
26:18It's horrible.
26:19In The Adventures of Pluto Nash, Murphy stars as a club owner slash ex-con living in a futuristic
26:24colony on the moon.
26:25Then more stuff happens with gangsters, androids, and clones that nobody cared about.
26:29Does anybody even remember the plot of this movie?
26:31What do we do now?
26:33Start walking.
26:35We don't have any food or water.
26:37We're gonna run out of air long before we need food and water, trust me.
26:40Although Eddie Murphy seems to be having fun, you can tell that he knew this was going nowhere.
26:44It's too silly to be a sci-fi adventure movie, but also shockingly lacks any actual form of comedy.
26:50Shoot him, Belcher!
26:51Shoot him, Belcher!
26:54Number 6.
26:56Son of the Mask.
26:57I'm looking for you!
26:59We've already had one example of the dangers of recasting Jim Carrey.
27:03This sorry excuse of a movie just proves the point again.
27:06You're just too good to be true.
27:08Can't take my eyes off you.
27:09You feel like having to touch it when I hold you so much.
27:14Lacking any sense of charisma, style, or actual laughs, this sequel to The Mask decides to
27:20appeal to a younger audience, and features crude humor and silly, obnoxious characters
27:24instead.
27:25Honey, I'm home.
27:30With Loki back on Earth looking for his mask, it of course falls into the wrong hands, and
27:35we are then introduced to one of the most unlikable lead characters ever portrayed on film.
27:39Baby, my heart's on fire, if you refuse me, honey, you lose me, then you'll be left
27:45alone, oh, baby, telephone, and tell me I'm your own.
27:53Jamie Kennedy and his terrifying toddler just pretty much scream and drool throughout this
27:58very inadequate sequel, and needless to say, that does not make for a very compelling movie.
28:03I just wanted a friend.
28:05Number 5.
28:07Catwoman.
28:10What are you, stuck?
28:12Here's a movie executive board meeting we can't imagine happening.
28:15Hey guys, the campiness of Batman and Robin was such a success, let's create the same
28:20cheesy atmosphere for this Batman spinoff and not use Batman at all.
28:23Extra points to Halle Berry for agreeing to do this fresh off her Oscar win, though.
28:27It won Razzies for Worst Picture, Screenplay, Actress, and Director.
28:33And everybody, even Halle Berry, agreed that this was a piece of garbage.
28:49Not only did it have fairly anything to do with the DC Comics characters, but it also lacked
28:54any strong female characters, action sequences, or even a compelling plot.
29:13Where is Michelle Pfeiffer when we need her?
29:16You make it so easy, don't you?
29:18Always waiting for some Batman to save you.
29:21Number 4.
29:23Geely.
29:24It's turkey time.
29:27Huh?
29:30Gobble, gobble.
29:31Thanks to Bennifer 1.0, this monstrosity received way more attention than it deserved.
29:36However, that didn't stop the movie from being among Hollywood's most expensive bombs ever.
29:40You don't tell me what to do, okay?
29:43Don't tell me what we might do, don't tell me what we're supposed to do, don't tell
29:47me what we maybe should do, don't ever tell me nothing!
29:50In Geely, Ben Affleck is a mobster who needs to kidnap a prosecutor's brother in order to
29:55help a crime boss, played by Al Pacino, avoid prison.
29:58You all guessed right.
29:59This is clearly a romantic comedy.
30:01This movie is offensive to those with mental disabilities, to lesbians, and to any audience
30:06members with eyes or ears.
30:08I don't think this is the best time to be drawing attention to ourselves.
30:12After winning six Razzies, it later won a seventh for worst comedy of the Razzies' first
30:1625 years.
30:17The weather's always very nice franty, isn't it?
30:21Yes.
30:22Eh.
30:22Well deserved.
30:23Number 3.
30:24Dragon Ball Evolution.
30:26The decision to make this film adaptation of the beloved anime and manga live-action at
30:30all was the first major mistake.
30:32Did you do that?
30:34Uh, yeah.
30:40You used your key.
30:43Wait, you know about key?
30:45Just because my name is Chi-Chi doesn't make me a complete idiot.
30:48Right.
30:49Right, because there's a lot of stupider names than Chi-Chi.
30:51Telling you that they cast Caucasians in Asian roles and employed horrible special effects
30:56doesn't even come close to explaining everything else that went wrong.
31:00Something's wrong.
31:01Dragon Ball Evolution pretty much ignored its source material and created an alternate
31:05Americanized universe as we follow a bored and annoying Justin Chatwin as he delivers
31:10some of the worst dialogue ever written.
31:16Oh, and there's something about Dragon Balls thrown in there just in case.
31:19Fans just want to forget this, and we apologize for bringing back traumatizing memories.
31:23Okay Goku, this has been great.
31:25You found your master Roshi, I kept my part of the bargain, now it's time for you to
31:29keep yours.
31:29Let's go.
31:30If what Gohan said is true, and Piccolo is here, this wish may be the only thing that
31:37can save our world.
31:39Number 2.
31:40Alone in the Dark.
31:41Especially known for his video game adaptations, Uwe Boll has built a reputation for directing
31:45some of the worst movies of all time, with most of his productions becoming critical and
31:49box office disasters.
32:05He also doesn't care what you think.
32:07Nice going, jackass.
32:08Although House of the Dead deserves a special mention, it's his other video game adaptation
32:12that is our runner-up.
32:13Edward, you've known each other since you were kids, did he... did he tell you he was
32:19leaving me?
32:20Of course not.
32:22Well then where is he, Edward?
32:23What's going on?
32:27I'll figure this out.
32:28In Alone in the Dark, Christian Slater uses his special powers to chase after these demonic
32:33creatures that used to be worshipped by an extinct civilization.
32:36And it is epically bad.
32:40The Abkhani people were wiped off the face of the earth.
32:44And now, it looks like it's happening all over again.
32:50If you love games, be sure to check out WatchMojo's new game, Terrible Influence.
32:55Just launched for purchase at TerribleInfluence.com.
32:58Terrible Influence is a satirical board game about the dark side of fame from the writer
33:02of the most popular girls in school and us, WatchMojo.
33:05Boom.
33:06I can make an apology video.
33:08Oh, you so would.
33:09Click on the link in the description to check out the game and be the first to play Terrible
33:12Influence.
33:16Number 1, Battlefield Earth.
33:18Who is responsible for allowing this man-animal to run around unsupervised?
33:23The man-animal shot the Wrangler, sir.
33:28I'm a little pressed for time.
33:30Why don't you save the going-away jokes for later?
33:32Many of our entries can be seen as career killers, but Battlefield Earth brought John Travolta
33:37to an all-time low.
33:38It is a pleasure to see you, Your Excellency.
33:41And I would be honored to expedite your clearance through security.
33:44Although most actors are forced to take these steps down for a paycheck, Travolta spent years
33:49bringing this movie to the world, claiming its source material was better than Star Wars.
33:53Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard wrote the book in an attempt to bring the religion
33:57to younger audiences.
33:58As long as you cling to the feeble hope that you can ever get the better of me, you'll
34:03be distracted from the more important things that have to be done.
34:06And that book served as the basis of the sci-fi action flick.
34:09Needless to say, the world wasn't interested.
34:12Since you rat brains have had enough extra time to smelt it into bricks!
34:16When the most horrible acting you've ever seen is topped by camera work, they'll give
34:19you a cramp in the neck.
34:20It's not surprising that you have a recipe for unintentional hilarity.
34:24The company requires me to vaporize you.
34:28But on the other hand, I could understand someone in your situation being old and having no
34:35future.
34:36Which other 2000s movies do you think were absolute stinkers?
34:39Let us know in the comments.
