00:00all right ben's here uh as he is every monday and friday ben standing of course covers the team as
00:07part of his sub stack last man standing you can get access to it and subscribe to it by going
00:13to
00:13his x handle at ben standing um he uh has did you put up your 53 i didn't check did
00:21you put up your
00:2253-man roster oh you did you have it up now right i do yes okay well we'll talk about
00:29that in a
00:29moment i've been focused more on the you know the game action that the starters saw if you want to
00:37call
00:38that uh call it game action on saturday against detroit so let's start there um i basically
00:47don't understand the value of three offensive plays for the offensive starters and two defensive plays
00:57for the defensive starters can you help me on that front uh i cannot not not in terms of providing
01:05logic um doesn't make you know we talked about this the other day you know i asked dan quinn before
01:11the game you know what's the calculus between the injury risk and playing only like a series or you
01:17know to have you know what what what makes sense here and he explained you know if there's this prep
01:22going to the game and others are players players have told me that as well that there's something
01:26to be said for when do you get to the stadium when do you stretch when do you put your
01:31tape on okay
01:31go through that race well it's fine and then but then from the game was like well you know getting
01:35tackled and tackling somebody there's value in that because you haven't done that you know as much
01:40but because you're in these uh you know uh you can't tackle in practice and things like that
01:46okay well then to say after as you said after the game that it was one series no matter what
01:50whether it's
01:51three plays or ten i i just don't understand the rationale to that versus what he's saying i mean
01:57sure the defense great two two plays they get a touchdown off a turnover fantastic is it conceivable
02:05that some of the defensive backs didn't hit anybody hey you know what i mean like i don't i don't
02:10i
02:11don't know what what what what went on there like frankie louvu is the green dot guy he wasn't the
02:15green
02:15dot guy before shouldn't you maybe i know they do some of these things in practice but in a real
02:19game
02:20why don't you run a few more plays um you know and then you know it just makes no sense
02:25and then
02:26of course on the offensive side you know we focus on jayden daniels and we all understand
02:30the risk of the injury for any quarterback but especially for him and those first three plays
02:35were kind of rough in terms of the uh you know the pass rush but they all left after he
02:41after three
02:42plays it wasn't just him brandon colman went out chris paul went out cosme went out uh you know a
02:48conco everybody went out like you're again three plays like i don't i don't understand
02:53yeah but it just seems like why not to say they're going to play at least 10 snaps
02:57as opposed to saying one drive that that to me would seem more logical assuming the 10 snaps even
03:02matters but yeah i don't five plays total from the starters essentially on both sides is
03:08is markers to me i don't get it i don't get it either i think the the biggest part too
03:13is like
03:13even if the plays had gone well let's just say three plays uh which included a 25 yard completion
03:20to a con quo but he got stripped at the end of it so that was it you know they
03:25the lions took over i
03:26still would have said i i don't really understand it it's 22 days before the opener how can that carry
03:34over but i also acknowledge they probably have reasons and i bet if we were sitting in some of those
03:41meetings we might nod our head and say okay well that makes sense but from afar it doesn't make
03:47a lot of sense i think i arrived last week and i think i shared this with you on friday's
03:51show
03:52i've gotten to the point where it's like either play them legitimately 15 to 20 plays you know maybe
03:59more or don't play them like either get something out of it that they're actually legitimately getting
04:06tackled and having contact and feeling the you know the normalcy of hey man we just got a first down
04:13now we got a new first and 10 we we're into a new thing where we took over on a
04:18short field it's a
04:19little bit different there or the communication we didn't do just three plays we did 25 plays and
04:24i don't know i it just i've always wondered why they haven't done it enough but to me it's like
04:31either don't do it or do it do it means more than what they did on saturday well and you
04:39know they
04:39they faced the possibility of the worst of dull worlds in that you know on the second play jayden
04:45daniels gets sacked now fortunately the defender decided to show mercy and like not take him down
04:50i guess or at least i guess jayden did his part too but you know i mean like it seemed
04:54like the guy
04:54pulled off a bit rather than kind of really you know going for the for the gusto so that could
05:00have been you know that's the whole point like okay if he's going to be out there there is a
05:03risk
05:04so is it worth putting him out there for the risk and three plays i and i understand he doesn't
05:09know
05:09how many yards the drive is going to be but as it played out three plays just doesn't seem like
05:14it's
05:14worth um the risk but like you know look you know they have they have more data than we do
05:21sports
05:21science trainers you know they they've been through the pregame stuff maybe all these things matter
05:27more than we imagine i guess it's just like for all the years that we've been told the importance of
05:32some of these preseason games to then go out there and play three snaps now again it looks like a
05:37lot
05:37of other starters didn't play at all uh around the league quarterbacks again i don't think we're
05:42arguing that like could we make the argument that it would be better to play sure i mean to me
05:47the
05:47second mariota got hurt even though they're acting like he'll be back week one my interest in playing
05:53jay and daniels dropped a bit because of obviously you lose some of that security blanket but again
05:58play play him something so it's meaningful or don't i just three plays i just didn't get again the
06:04defense was only two and i know the defense was missing a lot of guys but like antonio hamilton played
06:11two snaps like what okay i sure i guess i don't know like i don't i don't get why you
06:17would sit
06:18these guys that quickly all right what did you get out of it if anything on saturday
06:27yeah um i mean look obviously the defense was very um impactful the two turnovers on the first two
06:34drives and you know the first one you know a really good example as to what does dorante
06:40jones defense may be able to do where you know josh dobs the guy who's been in the league you
06:46know
06:46it's training camp for everybody and maybe that play call from washington uh where you had blitzers
06:51coming from different angles you know maybe that's a little bit more than they were imagining for
06:55preseason but to see him be so confused as to get hit straight on it wasn't a blindside hit from
07:01ame robertson it was straight at him didn't see it didn't see the corner coming in and you know i
07:06think like i said i think that's just a good example as to where this group can cause confusion
07:10and of course that was without deron pain uh away chase on etc because of their they were out of
07:17injuries or what have you so um you know i just thought that was a really good uh sign and
07:23you
07:23know it kept going i mean it wasn't just that opening bit there you know joshua josephs continues
07:28to show uh you know a lot of good things as a pass rusher uh you know they had multiple
07:33players
07:34get get sacked so i i thought from the defensive perspective all that was pretty good at least again as
07:40a
07:40sign of what's to come we think with um uh with deronte jones in the scheme and and in all
07:46that
07:47uh offensively you know again not not really much to take away from the starters other than there's a
07:52lot of concern about the offensive line dan quinn said as much after the game where he you know said
07:57nice things about sam cosme and brandon coleman and he says now we got to figure out what to do
08:01at
08:02center and um yeah he they definitely do uh you know hopefully allegority is back here sooner than
08:09later and that will you know alleviate some of the problem but you still have the matter of well what
08:13if he sprains an ankle during the season that then what happens um i thought um you know eighth and
08:18calique manis looked pretty good uh you know as a you know as a seventh round rookie going out there
08:25obviously again he's going up against a lot of guys who probably won't make the team but hey he was
08:29also in there early on and you know he just looks poised he looks he looked he understood what he
08:35was trying to accomplish uh you know that's not the world's strongest arm but he more than delivered
08:40the ball where he needed to be on a bunch of throws including that deep shots and nick nash down
08:44the
08:44sideline so i mean i think that was you know the biggest sign to me like okay they may actually
08:51have
08:51something here that needs to be kept as opposed to the way most of us have been talking like okay
08:56they're
08:56going to throw two spots that quarterback leave the third one open put the kid on the practice
09:01squad and go from there you know now you just have to think about maybe keeping him um for sure
09:05so i
09:06think those are some of the some of the thoughts for me um but so i guess one other one
09:10is the safety
09:11rotation you know will harris uh you know we've talked about the last few days that you know it feels
09:18like he may be the odd man out now he's playing behind kind of all the other safeties and that
09:22happened
09:22in this game as well so something to uh to keep an eye out for there what do you think
09:27they're going
09:27to do we're talking to ben standing what do you think they're going to do about center between now
09:31and the opener do you think they'll add to that position oh god yes i mean i don't know that
09:37they
09:38haven't told me that but i don't know how you couldn't i mean i think at this point you're just
09:41kind
09:41of waiting for final cuts up you know which you're you know by sunday after all the preseason games
09:48um you know i left one spot i have nine offensive linemen but why left one spot open
09:54because um you know i just can't imagine you know i mean like just in the last couple weeks they
09:59brought in a few other linemen and dan quinn said the reason he did it was he wanted to raise
10:04the
10:04level of competition you know in their meaning essentially the reserves and now he makes the
10:09comment the other day you know in terms of the starters not playing you know technically julian jones
10:15the starter he kept playing you know deeper into the game because they will obviously want to see
10:20you know what they have there so yeah i i can i have to imagine they will do something i
10:26mean if
10:26allegretti is back and he looks fine and he stays healthy throughout whatever the remaining practices
10:32and maybe they're going to feel and and that's not this week i mean if we're just talking about
10:36when waivers run you know you can't predict what any injury is going to be like for for allegretti or
10:41anybody but if he's able to be healthy by week one you know okay that should solidify things there a
10:47bit you have matt gulden who obviously you wouldn't feel great probably about putting in the rookie but
10:52you know he's shown some good power i thought in in camp and this is then where you add somebody
10:57else
10:57they do have some other you know veteran center types on the roster but it just doesn't feel like
11:03anybody is um interesting enough where they wouldn't uh look to get help elsewhere
11:11yeah uh and that takes us back to conversations that we've had throughout the offseason when it
11:16comes to this position you know what was plan a what was plan b did plan b and or plan
11:22a have enough
11:23in terms of a competitive level once we got to camp look if they had gone out and signed
11:28tyler linderbaum everybody would have been fine with this and allegretti would have been the backup or
11:34somebody else would have been the backup and there wouldn't have been talk of competition
11:37but once you landed on plan b if that's the way it shook out with allegretti because linderbaum
11:42priced himself out of the washington market anyway uh where was the legitimate competition that you
11:50claimed you wanted almost everywhere now is it possible that they just couldn't create the
11:56competition they wanted because it wasn't available it seems like that could be a possibility but the
12:02bottom line is there's no competition at the spot legitimate competition that will result in
12:09something definitively competent getting ready to to face jalen carter and jordan davis in the opener
12:17yeah i think this is a case where the words used by dan quinn and maybe adam peters early on
12:24enough
12:25led to some of where we're at now i mean obviously the actions matter more they tried to get linderbaum
12:30and again could they have drafted somebody this was a year considering higher earlier than gulden this
12:36was a year where the center position was considered deep of course they didn't have a second and a
12:40fourth round pick and i don't think any of us are blaming them for taking and tell you williams and
12:44joshua joseph right they did take a center later so you couldn't do that this was a weak year for
12:49centers in free agency beyond a guy who is the top of the heap so there were no ton of
12:54options uh there but
12:55then just like you know don't don't try to sell me on a competition that doesn't really exist i know
13:01like when when they wouldn't name jayden daniels the starter as a rookie until deep and we're all like
13:06come on like part of that was to be able to say hey jayden daniels great as he is we
13:11he had to go
13:12through all those processes he had to go get a practice he had this he had that like we didn't
13:16just give him the job but that was to say later hey this is how we do things you know
13:20so nobody's
13:21getting a free ride and i suspect that's in the brain that rather than just saying well allegretti
13:25is the guy we like and blah blah and but we still need to get more help but when you
13:29talk about
13:29competition and then you're again the competition is a guy in good jones who barely played one nfl
13:36game in his career and gulbin a rookie a six-round pick that that can't be real competition and so
13:42therefore like you and i are you know essentially by doing what we do we're sophisticated enough to
13:48understand you don't read into every single you don't listen to every single thing they tell you
13:52as fact but i know a lot of people were like hey well good jones right i mean why not
13:56him
13:57well gulbin right we heard competition so i just think they kind of set themselves up for a problem
14:01here especially the way that it's worked out all right let's talk about your 53 man how much of it
14:07uh
14:07do you want well i'll start with this just give me the toughest you know final spots how many legit
14:15let me back up start over how many legitimate spots are available right now between now and sunday
14:23i mean i think a fair amount you know things felt like a bit more settled going into the miami
14:31game
14:31like you know obviously you know you understand there's three preseason games to go but i was like
14:35okay i think can i get a grasp on this you know we'll have some decisions like what which of
14:40the
14:40defensive linemen or which safety are going to be in you know the receiver room is obviously interesting
14:44but now since then we have you know multiple injuries the johnny newton injury we know he'll
14:49be out for a while jeremy mcnichols is out quinn said a few weeks last week but what does a
14:54few
14:55weeks mean does it mean he's back next week or he's not back till week two right uh so things
15:00like
15:01this so i i the receiver room remains complicated in part also because not only is it the like eight
15:08vets or
15:09plus well eight including antonio williams and a lot of vets for like maybe six or seven spots but i
15:15mean jaden bradley has continued to make plays and while i always make the point there's a guy like
15:20bradley in almost everybody's camp you know he is standing out i know brian baldinger put up a video of
15:26of that catch he made the one-handed catch and called it the catch of the pre of the second
15:30week of the
15:31preseason so um that that spot to me is tricky now something's sort of working in their advantage
15:39maybe kind of sort of you know dorance armstrong because of the suspension doesn't count against
15:46uh the the the initial 53 is how i believe this is correct so they actually have like an extra
15:52spot
15:52there because he's on some like a different list um you could put jeremy mcnichols on the injury
15:59on ir with designation to return so you don't have to burn a spot for him he'd be out four
16:05games
16:05but you can wait there um you know so there's a couple ways they can maybe manipulate um a few
16:11things but yeah between receiver uh last spot or two at linebacker whether you're going to keep
16:17cali ecmanis as a third quarterback um you know and uh this is the defensive line you've got a lot
16:22of
16:22bodies including guys like giovante jean baptiste you know is there room for him i think there are
16:27still some interesting spots across the board but those are some of the ones that stand out
16:32all right um i'm going to read this to you because i know you have an opinion on it uh
16:39this came from
16:40tc tc wrote actually we should play it first um max play the question to jayden daniels from jp
16:48finley during the press conference about the lsu situation give me one moment here we go
16:57instagram post last week i think how is everything going kind of the fallout with lsu
17:03uh man i mean like you said i posted that um you know statement is out but for me now
17:08it's really
17:08just focused on commander football uh i said everything i had to say within the statement and
17:13now it's really just getting ready for week one uh that was jp finley asking a question that in my
17:20opinion needed to be asked actually surprised that there weren't more follow-up questions but i know a lot
17:26of the beat people including ben were not at the press conference but a lot of you apparently
17:31disagree this from tc tc writes sheehan were you the one who asked jp finley to ask our quarterback
17:39about a meaningless media created story about his lsu jersey number you guys are an embarrassment
17:45local commanders media trying to undermine the team is gross we see right through it
17:54uh busted tc ben tc's got it all figured out you know we're trying to undermine the team it's
18:03gross he sees right through it i'm amazed at how many people out there are so small market in their
18:10mentality like do you understand first of all tc that local media trying to undermine the team means
18:18that local media would be trying to undermine themselves we are much better off like 10x better
18:27off when the team does well versus the team not doing well uh the media that gets paid to talk
18:36or
18:36report or analyze is much better off when the team wins dude we're undermining ourselves if your
18:44premise is right it's just so absurd a meaningless media created story were you locked in a closet
18:53for five days it was a massive national story that by the way was created not by the media but
19:01by
19:02jayden daniels is inner circle it had nothing to do with the media were you paying attention some of
19:09you are really the question had to be asked a hundred percent had to be asked of course it did
19:17anybody with any intellectual curiosity understands that because you know what you'll you never know
19:24what you're going to get number two is he had not spoken on the record they had put out a
19:28press
19:29statement on the record any other real sports market in the country there would have been three four
19:35five follow-up questions to jps i don't know for me ben we talked about this a little bit on
19:42friday
19:42this is a fascinating story with so many layers you know for us in washington it was about a major
19:50peak
19:50inside the franchise quarterbacks inner circle i think anybody that's curious all right uh that
19:59cares about this team or is just an nfl fan you know doesn't have to just be a skins fan
20:04um especially
20:05during the month of august this is something that is of actual substance because of the layers uh that
20:13you can sink your teeth into others that you know might be intellectually curious but your rose-colored
20:21glasses your homerism you don't want anything negative or anything controversial you want to
20:28shut it down on social media first of all shutting that story down last week was impossible it was one
20:35of the all-time recent social media or just media and fan reactions to something that we've seen in a
20:42long time our quarterback was a pinata for five days did you pay attention to that a very well
20:49respected well-liked quarterback jayden daniels turned into a punching bag because of his inner circle
20:57making a major pr blunder i don't understand for the life of me the homers out there that are so
21:05delicate when it comes to things like this like they're afraid jayden can't handle it what does that
21:11say about how you feel about him but what does it say about you i mean either completely so obtuse
21:19or
21:20ignorant to the situation and that's fine if that's the case you just don't understand media how it works
21:27but how could you call this a meaningless media created story they served it up why are you so
21:35delicate so soft on issues like this like you know some of you honestly in my timeline would be better
21:41off in topeka or omaha you know no offense to those markets i'm sure they're great this is the number
21:48six
21:48media market in the country don't be afraid to act like it or have the people that are representing the
21:54media here to act like it on occasion um i couldn't believe the reaction to jp's uh asking you that
22:04question i saw it yesterday um you weren't there a lot of the beat reporters were not there they
22:10didn't make the trip to detroit what is your reaction to this well if all that you just said was
22:17a quote i would quote tweet it and just go hashtag endorsed because i agree with everything um you just
22:24said i i think just to to double click on something not not only is it a creation of their
22:30own doing
22:32it is incredibly important to understand okay well wait a minute this you know the the nil part of it
22:38is very interesting and that part is like there's maybe some legal aspect to it and hey maybe you know
22:43players who are no longer in school should not be one of the many interesting layers yes yeah yeah
22:49the other part the number five part which is what everybody roasted him for more or less
22:55what's said in the espn article that jaden daniel's somebody from the daniel's camp
22:59said that was a driving factor in this so it is a huge deal and again to understand the people
23:05who
23:05are going to be presumably helping him including his agent who is his mother presumably she was involved
23:10in this that what is their thinking going to be going into contract negotiations whether that's
23:16next year the year after whatever's going to happen there yeah that's interesting but secondly
23:21to your point about being soft like i don't think i think people like you said i think people
23:26you're telling on yourselves what you think about jaden daniels that he needs to be coddled to this
23:31degree i promise you that somebody who's out there asking questions i was asking questions about
23:36brandon iuke i mean honestly i think i was the only person asking about brandon iuke to him
23:41i think there's reasoning for that the guy with the whole premise of brandon coming here was based on
23:46jane daniels and then there was another point when jane daniels when i seemingly went after daniels
23:52daniels responded okay now he's inserted himself to a degree he i asked the question he didn't get into
23:59it and it was completely fine he knew the question was coming the pr out there is aware when when
24:04topics arise he's not upset he's he gets it there's no nobody nobody's upset at all except for the
24:11people outside who think he needs to be baby for some reason i it is it is incredibly baffling and
24:18um we're just not even like a tough beat like in general no no offense no i mean it's not
24:26even close i
24:27mean and like you know to that point again there were other people at the press conference
24:32besides jp uh you know i couldn't as you heard in that jp but you can't quite hear anybody's asking
24:38questions there were other people there who could have asked questions um but to ask things that they
24:42didn't ask tougher questions i'm just proving my point of that this is not a very very tough beat
24:48and that's you know across the board so yeah the uh you know and also a lot of these people
24:53i'm sure
24:53the same ones who just want us to to rip dan quinn every day about whatever the topic is
24:58but we can't ask the quarterback hey this thing that you brought up into the world could you talk
25:04about okay sure that's over the that's over the line it is amazing the the level of like either
25:12dishonesty or again just ignorance to this you know media created story bit that look i've i've been
25:20getting it in my timeline since i started to talk about it lat when the day it came out and
25:26i had
25:27mark schlebaugh on the show it's just it's dishonest like you you can't be that much of a a sensitive
25:36homer
25:37to actually not know that they created this story and by the way again you know there are things like
25:47this occasionally that uh you know based on the time of year it's like oh we can ride this for
25:53you know call segments for two or three and what i do we could ride this for two or three
25:57call
25:58segments easily people care more about this than talking about julian good jones for sure but this
26:04one legitimately if you're curious has so many layers to it because it was such a major peak
26:10for many people inside his inner circle and he's a franchise quarterback and so um you know forget
26:18the the fact that you know by the way it's gone awfully quiet on that front i've noticed it have
26:24you noticed it like nothing from them since then which tells me hopefully either somebody said enough
26:31already take a step back you really screwed this one up and let's let him just solely focus on
26:39his professional job and for the people he's working with and working for but there's been
26:44nothing since i think she and the others around her i think they may have gotten the message just
26:51that's a guess from outside looking in what do you think yeah i mean i i don't know what what
26:58to make
26:58of it right we haven't heard anything i mean other than the statement that he put out um on his
27:03instagram
27:03and then obviously asked the other day yeah nothing's been been said uh for what it's worth he will
27:09speak apparently after the joint practice in baltimore on wednesday so you know i don't know
27:15what the topic will come up or not but um you know it's possible that that it does um but
27:22yeah no i think
27:23i think from the bigger picture perspective what were the takeaways from this and in terms of his
27:30his camp his side you know himself like what what what what it was and again like to your point
27:36of a
27:36media created story if if it if the story just comes out and then that's it i don't know that
27:43we're
27:43talking about it five days later but that the entire country the mets the the u.s department of the
27:49interior like everybody in between is like making memes about this it was the easiest low-hanging fruit so they
27:55did it um that's why the story has legs essentially i mean not only is it interesting for the layers
28:01that you discuss but it's because it became such a national topic to the point that he himself felt
28:07compelled to put out a statement so like that statement is not coming out if we're not getting
28:13all that stuff and that has nothing to do with the local media so yeah and and for those that
28:18say well
28:19he put this statement out that should end it for you guys no no no that's a statement
28:23no you want to hear him asked about it and hear his words his tone and by the way 50
28:30of the time
28:31when you follow up on a statement you're shocked at what you end up getting because they're using
28:37it as an opportunity to actually describe it more in their words rather than in the
28:42than in the created press statements words now with him i would have guessed question had to be asked
28:48jp did it good for him absolutely had to do it um i would have guessed that that's the answer
28:53we
28:54were going to get because i guarantee you their pr department sean and company have been preparing him
28:59since last thursday to that the next time you speak you're going to be getting a bunch of questions
29:05about this he only got one in boston new york philly five or six questions on on that if that's
29:12the first
29:12opportunity anybody has uh to talk to him about it but the beat wasn't there with the exception of jp
29:19i
29:19say that i'm not trying to my fault i'm not trying to diminish those that were there i don't know
29:25who
29:25was there i know you weren't i know nicky wasn't i know john wasn't um that's what i would call
29:32the
29:32traditional beat maybe i'm off on that let me just tell you if i had him on the show last
29:37week i would
29:37have absolutely asked him about it not once multiple times trying to get him to talk about
29:43that now you would recognize he's probably super uncomfortable and he's not going to say anything and
29:49i thought he handled it well if he didn't want to say anything if he didn't feel compelled to say
29:53anything and maybe they have this maybe this mistake was recognized uh they have taken it seriously
30:02because it obviously backfired on them and we're going to get less of it from the inner circle moving
30:08forward that's really what i think everybody that's been close to the situation has been hoping for um
30:17so we'll see but to suggest that this was media created or that undermining the team it's just so small
30:25market small town reaction from some of the fanboys on social media it's really embarrassing i don't
30:33think you guys realize how much you're embarrassing yourselves with intellectually curious people when
30:38it comes to this i've got much more in the way of people going oh my god the mother is
30:43this what's
30:44going to happen with contract negotiations what's going to happen if something like this comes up in
30:48the middle of the season yeah after a week and a half ago that's a legitimate concern hopefully it won't
30:55rear
30:55its ugly head again for the lsu people he severed a relationship that's sad to me i think he can
31:02recover it but that is you know it's a bigger thing for them in terms of the way they felt
31:10about
31:10him before and the way they feel about him now i hope that that recovers for him you got anything
31:16else on
31:17this no you were that was one of your uh great uh takes uh agreed like i said it endorsed
31:24i think
31:25it's an easy one well it is it i think this is why it is so baffling this you know
31:30oftentimes you know
31:32whatever the topic is with the team should you know should he play should he not play should they have
31:37run
31:37this play should they have run that play we can debate all these things there's no way there's not
31:40always a right or wrong answer this one is just pretty simple and and again the person that you
31:46are defending is a well aware of it and had no problem with it so i don't know who you're
31:50getting
31:51upset about also by the way like the idea of undermining the team this would be like saying um adam
31:56peters puts out a statement explaining why you know the the marsh on latimore trade didn't work
32:04and then there's no follow-up and then you're going well he put a statement i guess we're good
32:08like you would not accept that get out of here right so this is not well i think they would
32:14say
32:14well at least that's specific to uh you know a a player on the team not on the team what's
32:20the situation as it relates to the team and people view this from a lens of has nothing to do
32:26with
32:26football and and right and by the way you can't think that well as i say except for the fact
32:33that he
32:33is the most prominent player on the team so anytime something he like if this was
32:38you know colson yankoff was going through this or whatever right if he was making a lawsuit
32:42we wouldn't be talking about it really the world would not have been making the jokes like this but
32:47he is prominent so you know what's going to happen it is going to trickle down dan quinn was asked
32:52about
32:52it the other day and because he was like hey did you talk to jayden this would you know something
32:57else
32:57comes up this would get asked of jayden or people in the lock or dan quinn or people in the
33:01locker
33:02so it is related to the team so the idea that it's not it does nuts nuts and just so
33:08you guys that
33:09feel like um you're right about this that this shouldn't have been asked i guarantee you guarantee
33:16you swear to you that not only were they prepared for it to be asked the first time jason jason
33:24jayden
33:24met the media after the statement was put out they probably prepared him for multiple follow-up
33:30questions as well because in most situations after that would have been the first opportunity on a
33:38story that is i think for a lot of people interesting with that is multi-layered and yeah um i've
33:46been
33:47curious about since day one to your point why because he's the franchise quarterback that's why
33:53uh all right um i will talk to you uh i guess well we'll figure out the this week's schedule
34:00because they're practicing today and then the joint practice is tomorrow correct uh wednesday i mean
34:07wednesday and then the game's on friday yeah so maybe maybe we talk on thursday after the joint practice
34:14sounds good all right thank you see you all right
