00:00Did you know that in Greek mythology, a god committed his first felony before he was even a
00:04day old? His name was Hermes. The morning he was born, he crawled out of his cradle,
00:09found a dead turtle, and hollowed out its shell. He stretched strings across it and invented the
00:15very first lyre, just like that, before breakfast. Then he got bored. So he walked to the fields
00:21where Apollo kept his sacred cattle herd and stole every single one, all 50 of them. He even
00:27made the cows walk backwards so their hoofprints pointed the wrong direction. Apollo, the god of
00:32truth and prophecy, had absolutely no idea what happened. When he finally tracked Hermes down,
00:38he found a tiny baby lying innocently in a cradle, blinking up at him. Hermes played Apollo the liar.
00:44Apollo forgot he was furious. He traded the entire herd just to keep the instrument. Zeus watched the
00:49whole thing and laughed. That was the moment Hermes became the god of thieves, travelers,
00:54and con artists. Because apparently, that personality was fully formed before he could even walk.
