00:13The fact that the BJP and the RSS have to manufacture a rift between two fiercely loyal siblings and pretend
00:20to come to Priyanka Ji's rescue reveals a few things here.
00:24Number one, they don't understand what it means to be a sibling.
00:28Their intelligence inputs on the opposition are laughably poor and they're delusional even to think that Priyanka Ji is some
00:35ablanari who needs saving.
00:38They're clutching on to non-existent straws to stay relevant.
00:42These are four points that they've made before lecturing us on gender equality.
00:46Remember, Congress gave India its first women president and its first woman prime minister.
00:52The Congress party has also had five women presidents and the BJP and RSS have had none so far.
00:59So, the BJP and RSS, when are you replacing Nitin Nabin and Mohan Bhagwat with women?

01:14Rahul, a very good afternoon to you.
01:16You know, this controversy over Nari Shakti began in the parliament, one could say, over the Women's Quota Bill.
01:23It's continued time and again.
01:25We've seen escalations.
01:26This time, it's come up to resurface with this event, Chhattro Ki Gunj, the Pune chapter.
01:32But the questions and the barbs that are being taken against each other is almost like a hefty show of
01:38who has more women representation and in what roles on either sides.
01:43That's the kind of challenge we see each of them seem to be posing to the other.
01:50You mentioned that it seems that it's a battle for female voters and we have seen in past as well
01:59that how women voters have found their voice and in fact are now playing a very prominent role in terms
02:06of, you know, elections and voting patterns.
02:09So, therefore, you know, this tweet which has been put out by Mr. Pawan Khera, obviously, this is trying to
02:16create a narrative that how BJP has always been anti-women while Congress has been constantly giving prominent positions to
02:25women, not just in party, but also putting them on important, coveted constitutional posts like President and Lok Sabha's speakers.
02:35Also, Mr. Pawan Khera also tried to rebut this allegation which has been put out by BJP's handle that, you
02:44know, there seems to be some rivalry going on between Gandhis, between Pringa Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, to which Pawan
02:51Khera obviously outrightly rejected it and saying that this only shows that how little knowledge they have about siblings.
02:59So, in a way, you know, it's more about perception and optics.
03:03On one hand, BJP is trying to create a narrative that all is not well between Pringa Gandhi and Rahu
03:10Gandhi and this is not the first time when something has been put out by BJP or by BJP in
03:16this manner.
03:17But Congress has obviously given it back, pushing it back, saying that Congress is one political party which has already
03:24had five presidents as women and always been, you know, putting women at forefront.
03:29So, therefore, I expect that, you know, this is going to gather more steam.
03:34They would obviously try to blame each other for not giving enough respect and prominence to women only to get
03:43more female voters in the next elections.
03:45Rahul, but, you know, one question that comes up here, while we see these debates coming up across party lines,
03:53who has done more in terms of bringing in women representation, we've also seen a pattern emerge during voter campaigning,
04:02that is election campaigning, which is bringing about certain welfare schemes that they have to offer to the women.
04:08And that has indeed become a game changer for several of these parties, which have won elections across states, bringing
04:15in those schemes in their manifesto itself.
04:17So, this debate that we are speaking of, how much is it relevant to the voters at the end of
04:23the day?
04:24Does it strike a chord with the voters?
04:26Will they keep this in mind when they go out to vote?
04:29That remains to be a big question as well.
04:33It's a part of a larger strategy to, you know, to create a narrative that we keep women in high
04:40regard, not the others.
04:41And you rightly mentioned about the schemes like Ladki Ben Yojana, Ladki Ben Yojana, you know, there were Dalek cash
04:49transfer schemes that were put out by Maharashtra, Marjai Pravation.
04:52And obviously, this helped the ruling party to retain the state.
04:57For example, BJP made a comeback, and so did Mr. Deminder Fadlavic.
05:01So, obviously, you know, all those cash transfer schemes seem to be working immediately.
05:07We saw it in Bihar also.
05:09But these three statements are all part of the larger strategy.
05:15These are the part of the political messaging that parties keep on doing.
05:18Just to send out a message that the other group is not giving you enough respect or prominence in the
05:25Indian polity.
05:26It is we who have done so much for you.
05:29So, obviously, you know, we can not really say that whether people are going to decide whether they're going to
05:36vote upon these statements or not.
05:37But one thing is very important that the welfare schemes or the direct cash transfer schemes that are being announced
05:44at the very onset of the election season seems to be pretty much working in the favor of ruling parties
05:52or whosoever they are announcing it.
