00:00Can Google's new Pixel 11 Pro Fold beat Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra this year?
00:04If you're shopping for a big screen foldable right now, here's why you might prefer the daily feel of the
00:09Pixel.
00:09Google shaved off some noticeable weight and thickness for this generation while keeping the same exact screen sizes,
00:14a 6.5-inch cover display, and an 8-inch main panel.
00:17The Fold 8 Ultra, yes, it still holds the featherweight title, but Google's outer screen is a lot less cramped.
00:22It's also just easier to hold since its rounder corners don't dig into my palms.
00:25The screen gets a lot brighter, though, yes, the crease is a little bit more visible from certain angles,
00:29but this is one of the few foldables that I feel comfortable using like a normal phone because of its
00:33added durability.
00:34Full IP68 water and dust rating plus a new shatterproof glass back means I wouldn't feel as terrified from dropping
00:40this.
00:40What about cameras? Pretty much identical to last year's, but the main sensor is better in low light,
00:44and the 5x telephoto lens still easily beats the 3x zoom that you get on the Z Fold Ultra.
00:49Although battery is a little bit smaller than the new, more efficient Tensor G6 chip, we should still get about
00:5324 hours of runtime.
00:54What I am a little bit bummed about, though, is multitasking.
00:56Google still limits you to two side-by-side apps plus a floating bubble window that you can minimize or
01:01drag around from side to side,
01:02but compared to Samsung's true three-app split screen, it's just not as impressive.
01:06So I think Google's lower price and better ergonomics could make up for its extra weight and limited multitasking,
01:10but let me know which foldable you'd grab.
