00:00I just got to see how Samsung designed the Galaxy Z Fold 8 as well as all of the different
00:05sizes
00:06that they tested and I think they might have picked the wrong one. So in speaking to the
00:10design team they told me about all of the mantras that they follow including something called
00:14emotive geometry. Basically keeping everything in line and sensical while also adding those tiny
00:20details like shaving off the corners a little bit so that it doesn't dig into your hand. And as they
00:25said themselves the form factor that they picked is a passport shaped one. But there's more because
00:31to get to that passport size they tried many other different sizes to get to what they call
00:36the golden ratio. Now obviously whether you think this ratio of a 4x3 display on the inside and a 10x16
00:43on the outside is the right thing that's entirely up to you. But they showed me all the other different
00:49sizes that they tried including this mahousive one all the way down to what basically looks like
00:56a Galaxy Z Flip but just turned on its side. Open it up and you have a 16x9 display inside.
01:02Now when
01:03I think about content consumption it's that aspect ratio that makes more sense to me. Obviously this
01:09is just one man's opinion. What do you think? Go ahead and let me know in the comments.
