00:00With airport food prices getting out of hand, more travelers than ever are ducking into airport
00:05lounges. And a new study just ranked which ones are actually worth it. J.D. Power surveyed nearly
00:103,000 travelers and found American Express Centurion Lounge and Capital One Lounge tied
00:16for the top spot, each scoring 7.71 out of a possible 1,000 points, with Chase Sapphire Lounge
00:22close behind in third. About 39% of travelers said they head into lounges specifically to dodge
00:29overpriced terminal food and drinks, while 45% go simply to escape the crowds. But that escape
00:35isn't guaranteed. Nearly half of travelers said their usual lounge is moderately or severely
00:40crowded. And satisfaction scores tell the story. Uncrowded lounges score 833 points, but that
00:47number crashes to just 589 when a lounge feels severely packed. Even paradise has a breaking
00:53point when everyone else had the same idea.
