The central government has denied permission to Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for his scheduled visit to the United States. Following the denial, Chief Minister Reddy will cut short his foreign tour and return to Hyderabad from London on August 23 instead of proceeding to Boston and New York. He instructed state officials to continue the US trip to sign MOUs with top educational institutions, including Harvard, MIT, Northeastern University, and Virginia Tech. Speaking on his UK tour, where he met academics from Oxford and Cambridge under the Telangana Rising initiative, Revanth Reddy alleged a conspiracy by the central government and stated that youth development should be above politics.
