00:43L'Emirats, Great Britain, l'arrière.
00:44La France est en train de l'arrière.
00:46La France est en train de l'arrière.
00:48On va voir la ligne de l'arrière.
00:50On va voir qui a trouvé la bonne timing.
00:53Can the British accelerate through from there?
00:57Oh, this is the aupires.
00:59Early start penalty, Spain.
01:01Yeah, they're going to have to go back behind the whole fleet,
01:03the Spanish, but it was the British.
01:05Absolutely perfect at the bottom of the line.
01:07And, Mark 1, we're going to see these FDs absolutely line up
01:11as they turn away from the breeze.
01:13Turn away in 5.
01:161 at the mark.
01:173, 2, 1.
01:21They're loading up here.
01:22Watch the numbers at the top of the wings.
01:25And it is on it.
01:26Mark number 1 with Emirates GBR leading the path.
01:29Oh, 98 kilometres an hour there for the British at mark 1.
01:33They're in a lot of wind.
01:34That dark patch of water carting them down towards gate 2 here.
01:38Long way to stretch out.
01:39It's all about accurate manoeuvres now.
01:41There goes Hannah Mills.
01:45Tense moments on board here on race number 1.
01:47You've got Spain, Denmark.
01:49And it looks like the Bonds Flying Roos,
01:50they've already turned away.
01:51No, that's the black foil.
01:53So the Bonds Flying Roos still hanging in there.
01:55Here we go.
02:00Lovely.
02:00Look at the patch of wind.
02:02The Bonds Flying Roos are in the top of the course there.
02:04They look like they've found a lot of wind.
02:06And the Australians are going to come back towards the group
02:08with the right of way.
02:09So tactically, very nice manoeuvre there by Tash Bryant and Tom Slingsby.
02:14But I think Emirates Great Britain are gone.
02:15They look good.
02:16A lot of wind here.
02:17They're going to try and keep it simple with a left turn at gate 2.
02:21And at gate number 2 at race number 1, it is Emirates GBR with the lead.
02:26The home team, Deutsche Bank, Germany in second place.
02:30And now is where it's going to get really crazy as they all come together.
02:33Yeah, Switzerland have got to keep clear.
02:34The red and the green there.
02:36The Italians need to watch out.
02:38Perfect manoeuvre by Ruggiero Tito.
02:40And now the Bonds Flying Roos have got to slow things down.
02:43What a move by the Italians is at the top of the screen.
02:46The Swiss are loose.
02:47Oh, it's so hard rounding these boats up through the breeze.
02:51One of the trickiest things today is going to be how hard you push.
02:54It's really tricky to know whether you're in full race mode
02:57or just getting around this mark safely.
02:59So the teams that get that right are going to have a big advantage.
03:02So it's still Emirates GBR as they make their way back up the course.
03:05They have first place right now.
03:07Second place is showing Deutsche Bank, Germany third going to Red Bull, Italy.
03:11And the Bonds Flying Roos, your top four.
03:14Yeah, I think to Hannah's point, in these gusts, the dark patches on the water there,
03:18you know, you're going to have so much extra horsepower.
03:20It's all very well having a car with a thousand horsepower.
03:22If you can't stick it or control it to the road, there's no point in using it.
03:26So the crews have got to judge how hard and when to push to the maximum.
03:30And right now, the British have just made a massive gain.
03:33And for the German fans, look at that, Eric Heiland team turning it on.
03:37They're well positioned, good shift, good pressure, moving up the course well.
03:41And they look like they're sailing in nice breeze out there at the moment, Lisa.
03:46Yeah, the British are definitely in the best breeze around the course.
03:49But the difference between the light air and the heavy air is huge.
03:52So it really is changing the angles, it's changing the heel.
03:56It really is tough out here.
03:57But as they approach this top gate, it's actually getting a lot lighter.
04:01And as you're close to shore, it's hard to read the wind as well.
04:04So it's going to get tricky as they move up the course.
04:06So Emirates GBR has the lead, second place belongs to Georgia Bank.
04:11German squad sitting in second, the fans will love that.
04:14Eric Heil at the wheel, Stuart Bithel, wing trimmer, Anna Barth, the strategist.
04:19United States, bottom right hand corner there as well.
04:22Mike Meninger in on the wing trim there.
04:24First day on the tools for him, not an easy task to be handed that one over.
04:27They've got to watch out.
04:28Switzerland should have boundary room there.
04:31It's going to be tight, bottom right hand corner.
04:32Do the USA need to manoeuvre away?
04:37Taylor Canfield, US Sail GP, currently sitting in third place.
04:40So a nice manoeuvre for them.
04:41They don't lose anything on that manoeuvre.
04:43And now it looks like, Stevie, a lot of these boats are going to be able to lay right into
04:45this gate.
04:46Yeah, and you can see where Australia are top of screen.
04:47So Great Britain looked like they might turn right.
04:49But I think they're going to sail into less wind.
04:51So expect an early manoeuvre.
04:53I think as you go under the shoreline there, you will see a bit less breeze.
04:57So tricky tactical moments in the race here.
04:59Tanner and Hannah, as we look at the course right now,
05:03and talking about what Lisa said about less wind closer to shore,
05:05how far out are they advancing and are they calling these manoeuvres?
05:08Are they going to make this manoeuvre quickly and they already think about the next manoeuvre?
05:11Well, one of the tricky things, because they're tucked up so close to that shoreline,
05:14they don't get a lot of time to be able to see that wind and make their decision based on
05:18what they're seeing on the water.
05:19So you'll probably see that's why the fleet's compressed so much here,
05:23compared to they're much more spread out down at the bottom gate.
05:26But really tricky to make the right call at this top gate.
05:28Oh, French just squeezing round there.
05:30We can see it as the United States probably had the best of that upwind leg there.
05:33Contant needs to reset, re-accelerate this French boat.
05:36They're really slow, won't be easy to accelerate here.
05:39Swiss, they're in an awful lot of breeze moving down towards the bottom right-hand side of the course there.
05:44And you can just see any mistakes, you lose so much distance.
05:49Three, two, one, hold, I'm five, I'm five.
05:53These 18-metre wings really tricky to sail when they're down the wind range.
05:57So the grinders having to work super hard because the wing trimmers are really working the wing sheet
06:01and the twist control that they have to make sure that they can keep as powered up as possible in
06:05the lighter winds.
06:06This is like four of six, race number one.
06:08We've got four races scheduled for today. It's down to the bottom of the course, then back up,
06:11and then the turn to home, and a penalty for Red Bull Italy.
06:15It looks like a boundary penalty possibly.
06:16Yeah, they're just going to need to lose 20 metres there.
06:18They've just got a bit wide on the course. It's quite light winds out there, that is for sure.
06:22We can see Great Britain here. They're in well position for the bottom.
06:27They might have to do an extra manoeuvre there, Dylan confirms that.
06:30Trying to make things simple, but for Germany, United States, and Switzerland,
06:34well, it's a crucial moment in the race.
06:42Almost 200 metre lead for Emirates GBR. Behind them, the home team, Germany Deutsche Bank with Eric Heil at the
06:51wheel,
06:51and now the Americans and the Swiss in a nice battle for third and fourth.
06:54Yeah, the Swiss did find more wind, and it was the left turn at the bottom last time that paid
06:59dividend for the British,
07:00and the British have been forced to go the other way, so interesting here.
07:03Maybe the course has changed a little bit. Not sure, but the Swiss have been faster on this downwind.
07:07Black foil's looming large, but this is the final upwind.
07:10Crucial moments in the race if you want to make a pass from here.
07:17USLGP now tucked into fourth place. Top four position would be a great start for Taylor Canfield and the Americans,
07:22and a great start, Stevie, for the Germans.
07:24You've got to go back to Dubai in the fleet race where they won second race of the day,
07:29but it hasn't been a lot of consistent success for them, so this would be a great start.
07:33Yeah, I mean, they talked a little bit. They've just had some practice.
07:36I mean, it's hard to get the practice, isn't it, Hannah?
07:37And maybe we're just seeing the dividends of a little bit of time on the water,
07:40because right now Germany could be a threat for the British here.
07:44Germany look like they're progressing up those ladder lines well.
07:46They have the right of way. I think we could see a lead change here.
07:50Could be the Germans making a game.
07:52Yeah, that's right, and you can see some teams just feel really comfortable in particular venues.
07:55It might be that the Germans have just switched straight into these conditions.
07:58I would say that that left turn looked really strong last time,
08:01so I'm surprised that MRS GBR allowed them to split at that point in the race.
08:05Yeah, tricky. Here we go. Crucial cross here. Right of way, Germany.
08:09Great Britain must keep clear, and it should be one more maneuver for the Germans,
08:12potentially two for Great Britain at the top, so big chance for the Germans from here.
08:18Great opportunity for the fans on shore and Sassnitz to get on their feet.
08:22The home team is in first place now as we are on the penultimate leg here in race number one.
08:27It's Germany Deutsche Bank out in front.
08:30Here we go. All of that accurate maneuvers for the Germans from here.
08:33Control the controllable onward that German boat. Try and stick a good maneuver. Here they go.
08:38Let's watch them here. Accuracy crucial.
08:47Oh, lovely. Look how they kept the heel in there. The boat leaning on top of them. Perfect for acceleration.
08:53Now, Great Britain has right of way, but they have to do another maneuver.
08:57Germany has space. If they dip behind Great Britain, I think they'll still make the mark.
09:01So, tight moment. Advantage Great Britain right now.
09:04USA has moved up to second place, and now it's all about this crossing.
09:07Remember, as Stevie said, Great Britain has the right of way.
09:11Dylan turns towards him there. Tries to force Germany wide.
09:14German on the inside. Great Britain, one more maneuver to do.
09:17Can Germany make the final mark with no more maneuvers? And don't forget about the United States.
09:22Penalty New Zealand. Port-type boat now keeping clear. Go behind Italy.
09:29So, the Kiwis, the Black Foles will lose one position. They'll drop back to sixth place, and now it is
09:35on.
09:35Here we go. The final gate.
09:37Germany are going to make it, Todd, here. Sprint to the finish. Come in.
09:43And they spin the wheel to the right, and with the fans just off to their left-hand side, they
09:48will bring it home.
09:49Race number one of the Germany Sale Grand Prix here in Saskatchewan goes the way of the home team.
09:55The Emirates winning moment goes to the Germans.
09:59What a moment. What a race by the Germans. Where did that come from?
10:02Emirates GBR led for almost the entire race, and on the last upward leg, Germany comes from behind to take
10:09the win.
10:09Emirates GBR finishes the second. The USA holds on for a top three position.
10:15I tell you what, right at the end of that, the Black Foles and Australia got themselves back in the
10:20race.
10:20Fifth and the sixth. Australia was down in about tenth place and stuck in really light winds for a while
10:25there.
10:25So, good race and good comeback for those teams.
10:27Canada, Denmark, right-hand side, last at the back of the pack here, really disappointing for them. Time for a
10:34big, big reset.
10:35Good performance as well from Red Bull Italy. They are top four as well.
10:40This is a team that is on the rise, no question about it.
10:43In their first year in the league, two-time Olympic gold medalist Ruggiero Tita and his squad.
10:47He is a four-time world champion in the NACRA.
10:50So, with CEO Jimmy Spithill at the helm, the Italians got to feel good about race number one.
10:54But everyone, get out of the way. The Germans are coming.
10:57It's not just the next one we've ever seen.
10:59Who's the cos ?
11:06This is theなた who has reached for, and it's become a climber in the past verse.
11:07By which you will find your chosen development at the same time.
