00:14the Marine Corps moved out smartly to establish the COVID-19 reinstatement cell
00:18and create a clear, streamlined path for eligible Marines to return the service.
00:23We didn't simply meet the intent of the executive order,
00:25we trailblazed this effort across the Department of the Navy.
00:28Setting the standard of excellence for how eligible service members
00:32can return the service through deliberate planning,
00:34personal outreach, and an unwavering commitment to our ethos and Corps values.
00:39Our team personally contacted 100% of the 3,748 eligible veteran Marines,
00:46ensuring every Marine understood the process and had a clear opportunity to return.
00:52Most importantly, since the executive order was signed,
00:55we've welcomed 53 Marines back into the Marine Corps,
00:59restoring experienced warfighters to our ranks and strengthening the readiness of our force.
01:04Today, the Marine Corps continues to exceed its recruiting and retention goals
01:09because Americans still want to take up the challenge of earning title Marines,
01:12and Marines still want to stay on the team and end the fight.
01:15Our readiness is strong, but so is our commitment to ensuring eligible veteran Marines
