00:00Are you exchanging written letters with Kim Jong-un?
00:03I can't tell you that.
00:05But I get along with him written.
00:06And you know what?
00:07The fact that I get along with him, that's a good thing, not a bad thing.
00:10He has 57 very powerful nuclear weapons.
00:14Should have never allowed it to happen.
00:16They should have never allowed it.
00:18If I were president, I wouldn't have allowed it.
00:19But he's got them.
00:20I get along with him very well.
00:22I can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon.
00:24And I know Kim Jong-un very well.
00:27And he's going to be fine.
00:30As long as we have a smart president, he's going to be fine.
00:33If we have a dumb president, then he's probably not going to be so fine.
00:37Are you expecting to meet with him later this year?
00:38Yeah, I will be.
00:39Mr. President, do you think you're going to letter us with Kim Jong-un?
00:42Sorry.
00:43I can't tell you that.
00:44But I get along with him.
00:46And you know what?
00:46The fact that I get along with him, that's a good thing, not a bad thing.
00:50He has 57 very powerful nuclear weapons.
00:54Should have never allowed it to happen.
00:56They should have never allowed it.
00:57If I were president, I wouldn't have allowed it.
00:58But he's got them.
01:00I get along with him very well.
01:01You can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon.
01:03And I know Kim Jong-un very well.
01:06And he's going to be fine.
01:09As long as we have a smart president, he's going to be fine.
01:13If we have a dumb president, then he's probably not going to be so fine.
01:16Can you do anything to do with him?
01:17Yeah, I will be.
01:18Mr. President, can you give us any update on your negotiations with Canada for a trade deal?
01:25Yeah, we had a very good conversation with the Prime Minister last night.
01:29And we've come to a deal with Canada.
01:30As you know, the 50 percent tariffs across the board were going on against Canada today.
01:37And they called yesterday and they gave us the points that we had to have.
01:40Very fair deal for both.
01:43The tariffs will be non-existent for our farmers.
01:46Our farmers were paying tremendous tariffs into Canada.
01:50And those tariffs are going to be totally eviscerated, down to zero.
01:58We're doing certain things.
02:00We've got to give something.
02:01And we're doing certain things.
02:02We're paying a high number.
02:03We're reducing it a little bit.
02:05It's good for everybody.
02:06But our farmers are going to be thrilled.
02:08Our manufacturers are going to be thrilled.
02:11And basically, we have no tariffs going into Canada anymore.
02:14Canada was charging us tremendous tariffs.
02:16We no longer have any tariffs.
02:18And what I was able to do is we put, as you know, under the new tariff,
02:24I guess you'd call it the new tariff schedules that we came out with,
02:28they were going to get a 50 percent tariff on everything starting today.
02:33And we've held it back three days.
02:34It's all subject to finalization of documents.
02:37So subject to the finalization of documents, we have a deal with Canada.
02:41And I think it's a very good deal for both parties.
02:44It's great for our farmers.
02:46Our farmers will no longer be held up because they were being hurt very badly by Canada.
02:50Yeah?
02:54The strait, last night we had a lot of boats come through.
02:58We have possession, complete control of the strait.
03:01I mean, outside of nuisance value.
03:03And there is nuisance value when they shoot a drone every once in a while.
03:07But, and not everybody is going to go through, but they come through.
03:12And over the last couple of weeks, we've had a lot of oil coming out.
03:16A lot of oil.
03:17It's not going to be perfect, but it's a lot of oil coming out.
03:21A lot.
03:22In fact, people are amazed.
03:24One of the reasons that oil hasn't gone to, like, the proverbial $300 a barrel, it's at
03:30$83, $84, $85.
03:32And it'll be a lot lower when this is over because we have plenty of oil.
03:36But one of the reasons it never went into the $3 in $350 number is because we do.
03:41We have a lot coming out.
03:43And people are finding alternatives, too.
03:46And you know one of the alternatives?
03:47Texas.
03:48You know another one?
03:50Alaska.
03:51Louisiana.
03:52They're coming to the United States to get oil.
03:55And people say, oh, you shouldn't say that because it makes it sound.
03:58Well, it is what it is.
03:59I mean, they're coming to Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska to get oil.
04:03Mr. President, about what?
04:08The Press of negotiations.
04:09Maybe at some point, but right now, I think the situation is so good.
04:15But maybe at some point.
04:16Look, it's very simple.
04:18They have to get rid of, completely, they have to get rid of no nuclear weapon.
04:21Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
04:23You know why?
04:24Because they use it.
04:25And we're not going to let them use it.
04:26So Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
04:28And they won't.
04:29Thank you very much.
04:30I'm glad you came out.
