00:24The local darts hall in Morumbar is the place to be on a Tuesday night.
00:29You don't have to be the best, you just come in, have a beer, listen to music, throw some
00:35darts and it just clears your head a bit.
00:37A few years ago the club folded but some dedicated members were determined to bring it back to
00:43life.
00:43We come back in, we gradually grew from no one back to, I think we were 60 something members
00:49last season.
00:50They host weekly social nights and regular tournaments along with fundraising events.
00:55Just have a fun night, a bit of a break away from, especially the lads living in the camp.
01:01Morumbar is home to 9,500 people, a majority working in the mining industry. Mine work can
01:07be isolating. With long shift work hours and fly in, fly out workers, hundreds of kilometres
01:13away from their families. The dance club offers a place for social connection.
01:18We really push the mental health side of things for the people who are away from their families
01:22who aren't lucky enough for the locals to come home every night.

01:28Keep your body still, throw it with your arm, not your old body. Rhythm, how to count,
01:33a lot of it's counting, so 90% of the game is math, knowing where to go next.
01:37While these players are here just to have some fun, there are plans in the works to put
01:41sport on a Commonwealth stage. Competition aside, for this club, it's all about bullseyes and
01:47banter.
