00:05We now have Mr. Davis, he's president of custody with Mr. Samp.
00:08Anything we need to address outside the presence of the jury from either party?
00:12Turn your hands and get that all straightened out.
00:14Not directly, but through my office, yes.
00:16Okay, excellent. Perfect.
00:20And then after the fight, two Foxhawks, the courtship knights, and the people that are here with, they leave.
00:28And among his group is Trayvon Lane.
00:33And that is why this fight occurs.
00:37Trayvon Lane and the death row group sees Orlando Anderson standing by himself.
00:43And they decide to attack him in retribution for what happened at the Lakewood Mall.
00:47You'll see Orlando Anderson is on the bottom of that group.
00:52You see security coming trying to break this up.
00:55And then you'll see Tupac Shakur, Shook Knight, Trayvon Lane, and that group exit the MGM Grand.
01:04Mr. Shakur, Mr. Knight, and his group leave the MGM Grand.
01:14Dwayne Davis decides he is going to organize a retaliation, that this meeting cannot go unanswered.
01:20Then he runs into a person named Zip Martin.
01:24Remember the Zip Martin?
01:25That was the connection with Bad Boy Entertainment from New York.
01:28And Zip Martin tells him that he has a gun and that he can come help him out.
01:34And that Dwayne Davis himself, KVD, is in the front passenger side.
01:40And this is how Dwayne Davis explains the murder of Tupac Shakur.
01:46Yeah.
01:48There's a little bit of a story right there.
01:49We came up on the farm.
01:53That's a long way to the Willowar.
01:56Oh, shit.
01:58Every day he comes back to MGMW, he's going to take a car.
02:01And brought him, Tupac, Tupac.
02:04I was like, there you go.
02:06He had a U-turn with us.
02:07Well, maybe he just wanted a U-turn.
02:09It was in a little lane.
02:12He just pulled up on the side and checked every car and see where they were.
02:16So what directed your attention to him?
02:17Was some girl shouting at Tupac?
02:20Tupac?
02:20He gave us other way.
02:22Other way, he got away.
02:24He already got a point in line, dude.
02:26Oh, hey, man.
02:28He got him.
02:30He did a U-turn, so then you pulled alongside of it.
02:34You got to turn the car.
02:36Have you already hand-swing the gun at this point, or at what point do you hand him the gun?
02:41I thought he was going to pull on my side.
02:43No, I don't know that.
02:45I don't know if he's going to get out for him.
02:46No.
02:47He pulled on his side.
02:50So you were fitting the class that you had to, or you were just...
02:53Yeah, we were going to pull on my side all the way.
02:56Okay.
02:56So you hand the gun to the backseat?
02:59Yeah.
02:59You hear my name?
03:00Yeah, it's a trade.
03:01It's like, no, no, no.
03:03And my name's like, dude, fuck, dude.
03:07So what you hear Dwayne Davis say, admit, that as they see Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight
03:15driving to Club 662, Dwayne Davis, along with Terrence Brown, DeAndre Smith, and Orlando Anderson,
03:25decide to make a U-turn.
03:27Confront Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight.
03:31Dwayne Davis has the firearm.
03:32It's the firearm he got from Eric Von Zitt Martin.
03:35And then he passes it to the back.
03:37Dwayne Davis says that if they were on his side, if Tupac Shakur and Suge Knight were on his side
03:44of the vehicle,
03:45he would have shot them himself.
03:47But because they were on the other side, he handed it to DeAndre Smith.
03:51DeAndre Smith, according to Dwayne Davis, did not want to shoot at that time.
03:55So Orlando Anderson shot into that car.
04:00Did you say he should look over at you?
04:04He looks right at you?
04:06Yeah, he looks right at you.
04:08Are you serious?
04:10I just don't think that's what you're saying.
04:12I don't know.
04:16When he looks over at you, and then, you know, Suge Fox did be getting shot.
04:21The story is, Suge Fox is trying to either get out of the backseat or something.
04:25Yeah, what do you see happening in the side of the car?
04:28I see the boy going to shoot again.
04:30I thought he was dead.
04:32I thought he was dead.
04:34Shield Knight makes a U-turn and heads back to the Las Vegas String.
04:38The car ultimately can go no further.
04:41Penn stops.
04:41Police arrive.
04:44Medical arrive.
04:45And you will hear that Shugman was grazed in the head and had some glass going in his neck.
04:52He ultimately survives those injuries and is released fairly quickly.
04:58You will also hear that Tupac Shakur was shot multiple times.
05:03That he was brought to UMC.
05:04And that six days later, he succumbed to those injuries.
05:12And within 24 hours, the Cadillac and the assailants are back in Compton.
05:18They stay the night, and they drive right home as though nothing happened.
05:23And what you'll notice is a constant thing that always goes through his statements is Dwayne Davis' visceral anger at
05:32Tupac Shakur for putting hands on his nephew.
05:36In the book, he says, then jumping on my nephew gave us the ultimate green light to do something to
05:43their ass.
05:45On September 7, 1996, Tupac Shakur publicly, on camera, participated in a humiliating beating of Dwayne Davis' nephew, Orlando Anderson.
05:54And Dwayne Davis knew that in his world, that required a response.
06:00And over the years, in private interviews, in public statements, and even in private calls, Dwayne Davis has repeatedly told
06:08us over and over again about the anger he felt and his own role in the revenge drive-by shooting
06:15of Tupac Shakur.
06:17And now, nearly 30 years later, we're going to ask you to finally hold Dwayne Davis accountable.
06:31Now, one of the things the state showed you was a picture of a car and indicated there was four
06:37individuals in that car.
06:38And he'd tell you that at some point, three of those individuals are dead, and Tupac is the only one
06:44that's remaining.
06:45But at the time that he gives his statement to the task force in 2008, there's another individual that's still
06:52alive.
06:54They never interviewed that individual to verify if that information was true.
07:00Why not?
07:02Because the FIA just fell asleep, but the LAPD just didn't care?
07:08Kifi was never charged for any of what he said during that time period.
07:12And it's because they knew he was full of crap.
07:17Otherwise, they would have.
07:19Why wouldn't they?
07:20You know what happened with the book?
07:23Right?
07:23Even he confesses to it.
07:26What you find is, no charges filed.
07:30What is going on?
07:32District Attorney's Office doesn't want to charge the case.
07:35No charges filed when the interview happens.
07:37No charges are filed when the book is written.
07:40What is going on?
07:41Just look at the actual facts.
07:43What facts do you have to support any of what Kifi D said during any of his interviews or in
07:48the book?
07:54When you look at this relevant timeline again, and you see the length of time, ask yourself, what facts do
08:01they have to even put Kifi D in a car in Las Vegas on September 7, 1996?
08:10What facts?
08:12When you look at the video that happened at the MGM, look for them.
08:19Try to find them in there.
08:21Try to find any of the other individuals.
08:24Remember, he said there's three individuals in the car with him and Armando Anderson.
08:29Armando's in the video because he's here to beat up.
08:31Find any of those other individuals on the videos of the MGM.
08:37Look for evidence that shows that Kifi D was even in Las Vegas on the night of the fight.
08:45Receipts, credit cards, a picture of him standing next to somebody else, maybe watching the fight from another casino.
08:51Something.
08:52Maybe something.
08:54In the book, you're going to learn that Kifi says that he was at the fight.
08:58He was sitting on the second row.
08:59He was sitting with all the celebrities, and he was dressed in his finest gear.
09:04There's not one iota of proof that he was ever at that fight.
09:09But you know who does show an iota of proof that he was at the fight?
09:13Shub Knight.
09:14Shub Knight was raided, and at some point, there is a ticket stub to that fight.
09:20The Tyson versus Selden fight with Shub Knight's possession.
09:24Because he went to the fight.
09:25And you would think, a fight like this, you want to show everyone that you were at the fight.
09:29There's no evidence at all that that man was even at the fight.
09:37When we take back to the verse of the picture, really at the end of the day, what you're going
09:42to hear from witnesses that will testify to this,
09:45is that Kifi D was known to do this.
09:50That's the testimony you're going to hear in this case.
09:53That's what you're going to hear about that man right there.
09:56And so you have to ask yourself the question.
09:59If I just say things, is that going to end up being one of those things where I'm going to
10:04be handed up for a murder if I just keep repeating that fiction?
10:08I keep repeating that?
10:10The answer is no.
10:11You have to corroborate everything I say in order for it to be true.
10:16Otherwise, it's just that.
10:18Forfeit.
10:19And at the end of all the time we spend together, what you're going to find is that the state
10:24cannot prove to you beyond reason without the claim that Kifi had anything to do with a first-degree murder
10:30with use of W11.
