00:00I'm interested now in how a Holmes trade came about and why you decided to give up Rojas and
00:05you got the two players, Tyrone Taylor, who was a very useful player, and why you believed in
00:10Holmes, even though he hadn't really pitched at the major league level at that point in his
00:14comeback anyway. Well, I think the fit with Holmes to us was pretty clear. You know, we have terrific
00:19infield defense and he's a ground ball guy. We have some pitchers that throughout the year have
00:23given up homers. He generally keeps the ball in the ballpark. So the fit with our team, we felt
00:27really, really good about. And I mean, I've had years where your needs aren't as clear, I guess
00:32is the best way I would say it. This year, it was really, really obvious. We needed to bolster the
00:37rotation. We talked a lot about controllable starters. You know, as always, I think we looked at a bunch
00:42of different guys that we would control beyond this year. Ultimately, we weren't able to line
00:46up on price. And that's two years in a row at the deadline that's been there. This year, the rental
00:51starting pitcher market was a little deeper than last year. You'd love to be able to add controllable
00:55starters at the deadline. That wasn't something we could do. And so Gosman and Holmes fit nicely for us.
