00:01Thank you for the veterans who have travelled all around the country to
00:05Canberra to tell us their concerns about the government's announcement of a cap
00:11on spending for allied health services for veterans that have sacrificed for
00:16our nation. These services that are accessed by veterans literally save
00:22lives. There's already suicides being reported. This isn't good enough and I've
00:26tried to explain on multiple occasions and so are the veterans behind me to the
00:30Minister that when it goes bad you cannot be on the phone to the department for
00:35four hours and the only light at the end of the tunnel is the services that
00:40you're getting to make sure that you're healthy or we can get in the support you
00:44need gets taken away and it all goes dark. I know what happens next. It's a funeral.
00:51Prime Minister, the Minister's position is untenable and he needs to go and you
00:58need to meet with us. You promised me in opposition that you would look after
01:02veterans. You are failing us. We have no confidence that the Department of
01:08Veteran Affairs will be able to instigate this cap and it needs to be scrapped.
